In need of whatever part is needed to hold my trunk open on a 36 three window coup. I have the rod but something is missing or defective or possibly I’ll need the complete mechanism. Any help would be much appreciated

Yes sir you are correct the deluxe has safari windshield like Dodge D2 the custom two piece fixed windshield this model came with overdrive and complete trim package like trunk trim witch I think is sweet looking also headlight and tail lights have these cool Mohawks trim pieces but the deluxe models if you wanted any of the items I just mentioned you just had to order them when buying the car. I’m sure there were a few other items also but I like all extra trim but the safari windshield would have been my choice. When I bought my first 36 Dodge years ago I pulled out a book that showed All the 36 Mopar’s I’m talking four doors with trunk, I look over each model and in my opinion the first thing I said The 36 Desoto model by far had the best looting trim package by far hands down #2 I picked Dodge #3 Chrysler #4 Plymouth now this is just my personal opinion and I would like to hear what or how other 36 Mopar fellas on this site would pick 1-4 just curious how other Mopar brothers would rate them. VW4X4 I don’t care how you would rate them because your still a dick in my opinion your #1

You know it might be because Desoto Airstream has two models the deluxe and custom my car is the custom that was the top of the line came with overdrive Mohawks on headlights and taillights Art Deco trim on the trunks witch looks awesome longer wheel base the deluxe has safari windshield witch is one piece like the Dodge the custom two piece fixed windshield like Chrysler but if you ask Mr. Airstream he the ass that will never admit he’s wrong VW4X4 I keep calling him a ass because he talked chit about me but mostly if he comments on anyone post he’s always got some negative shit to say so sorry guys but I’m gonna talk chit about this Dick until I get kicked off this site but this dash looks to be out of a 36 Desoto Airstream deluxe one piece safari windshield I myself actually like the safari windshield a lot more the the custom it’s two piece windshield. They are way to big

Here’s one clean set of Arrow fog lights from the 30’s chrome still pop’s nicely does have minimal lil scratches and minimal pits but are definitely very presentable big time and would look awesome on cars or trucks from 30’s-50’s for sure. Look at pics and I’m sure you would agree. Lenses are excellent condition no cracks on buckets and bezels. Asking $1050 plus shipping

That’s no 36 Desoto Airstream might be Airflow but couldn’t tell only thing I like about Airflow’s is their Banjo steering wheels

I thought you liked cars with original parts, so you like the hood trim on the large skirts, I think theses are going to look way better on this coup

I think they look stupid if you want some I have a complete set and those skirts are not original for this car

I was just looking good at pics and it sure does look like same car, reason I say that is look at the side mount hardware, it’s not correct on this car. I sold him some skirts, but the car you showed has skirts.

No that is not the same car, I know for a fact because I have recently done some business with the Man who owns the coup I posted. He’s going to have one very sweet 36 Desoto Airstream Coup real soon.
