  1. Guess I should open my eyes more to catch the little clues. '65 could have either pump. Best would be to actually look to see how it's held together. Tom T.
  2. NAPA used to have the fuel pumps in stock. Unless the pump you have has screws holding it together a crimped pump is NOT rebuildable. Never did state year, make or model. Tom T.
  3. That's a weep for when the diaphragm is starting to go bad. Replace it now as gasoline will get into the oil which doesn't lubricate no where near as well as oil & can destroy an engine in short order. Tom T.
  4. AND, don't relie on the locking nuts to stay put. They need to be double nutted especially when using Poly. Tom T.
  5. My '64 which I ordered new had a 3.07 rear & I ordered posi which it still has today. Tom T.
  6. ALL forget. A bias ply tire is flatter while it rotates as opposed to a radial tire which appears to be low on air pressure when sitting still. Maybe the radial will "expand" at speed??? Tom T.
  7. Try diff. bottle caps from many/various products. More than likely plastic most available. Tom T.
  8. Like dr914 said he had Bilstein make them up for him so he is really the ONLY supplier. You WON'T find them listed anyplace else or cheaper IF your looking for less costly. Just my thoughts. Tom T.
  9. As far as I remember both blue & green were available. Tom T.
  10. Bill, From the circle, going by memory, on the top approx. 1 1/2" to the left. On the inside left edge approx. right at the curve in the support. In any case the A/C clutch should fit in the cutout. May have to adjust to fit the clutch properly. Same with cutting a hole for the wingnut. Approx. the diameter of the circle in the air cleaner housing. Understand??? Tom T.
  11. I seem to remember neither. Tom T.
  12. Bill, To be 100% correct there needs to be a small rectangle removed from the right front above the A/C compressor. Not that it's really makes any diff. but that's the way they came from the factory with or without A/C. A just FYI. Tom T.
  13. Just put the car in the sunlight for a few hours to soften the grip. Works every time. Tom T.
  14. There was a guy by the name of John from upstate Ct. that had a '67 non GS that had a 3.42 posi as this is the way his grandad ordered the car. Tom T.
  15. IF your system is all original the 134 will have a higher tendency to leak as the molecules are smaller than 12's. AND, to work properly the condenser & evaporator are different designs 134 doesn't cool as well as 12. Just my thoughts. Tom T.
  16. New rear drums are readily available new, although Chinesseium. Same for front drums, BUT they are all cast iron. Good used rear drums are also available from a variety of sources. Better off sourcing good used. Rears are easy. Fronts are much more difficult & pricey. Tom T.
  17. I take it that this is for a '63 as the heater control valve is atop of the heater box. Am I box correct??? Tom T.
  18. Very rare & valuable wheels in the 15x6x4 3/4" size. Even more rare are the 15x6x5 big car size of which I have a set complete with NOS caps & lug nuts. Tom T.
  19. No adhesive needed as the ends of the insulation fit into the recesses of the hood frame. It's stiff enough to stay in place WITHOUT adhesive. As I remember this is the way it was installed from the factory & I know this is true as I bought my Riv. new in '64. Tom T.
  20. Getting that wire bale off the two screws are removed from the inside on the heater box as shown in the pics posted. Tom T.
  21. James at BESTOFFERCOUNTS. Install with the hard side down as original & there will be no pulling of "fiber". Tom T.
  22. I know it's done now, BUT you have the choice to paint it IF you want it to be "more" correct??? Tom T.
  23. Those "Clips" on each end. Tom T.
