  1. Problem solved. I'm having the entire clutch assembly rebuilt locally.
  2. Looking for a clutch pressure plate for a 1926 Chrysler F58. HELP
  3. There is a keyed lock built into the shifter on the transmission. 26 Chrysler. Is it a shifter lock out or maybe an ignition switch. The car has no other keyed ignition switch.
  4. George is the only one that knew what T/O bearing went in the '26.
  5. Anybody know anybody that repairs original dash instruments? Or are replacements available? Working on a 26.
  6. Yes the track vehicle is an ONTOS. We had a few of them in Vietnam. The idea was to sneak up on the target fire the 106's turn around and run like hell. The 50 cal. On top was a single shot spotting rifle. And 60mph is more like it. No armor made of aluminum.
  7. Wouldn't it be a lot easier to get a surplus ONTOS?
  8. Well, most of the problem has been solved. The carb was indeed mounted backwards. It is on the correct side now. Took awhile to make different pieces to make the choke and throttle work properly. Now to make a proper fuel line and filter. I hope it goes zooom!
  9. That's a picture I was looking for. It is a four cylinder Model 58. The carb in the picture looks the same. The fuel line lines up with the carb mounted 180 from the picture. The choke wire clamp on the carb cannot be used so a new clamp was put on the rear tappet cover bolt. The throttle linkage rod works with the backward mounting. Big problem is all attachments and adjustments are on the engine side. So I can make a new fuel line, make new throttle linkage, and some how make the choke work. The choke would be the big problem because the wire would push the butterfly the wrong direction. What to do?
  10. Does anyone have a picture of the linkage on a Marvel Schebler carb? I just got it back from the rebuilder and something ain't right. For the gas line to hook up all linkage attachments and adjustments would be between the carb and the engine. Something seems to be backwards.
  11. Re painting the car hauler. How much air pressure in a 8-14.5 14 ply tire? Tandom axle 10,000 GVW.
  12. Yup you too Thanks Dennis for the lead.
  13. Yes. He said he would research the bearing and call me back today (yesterday) or the day after. He called back within the hour. Nice guy to talk to and best of all he said he had two of the bearings. Also it would go in the mail today. This has probably ended a frustrating two week search. Thank You George!
  14. I found a listing for 41208 as being for 1928 Plymouth. Crosses to Timken N441. Could this be the one for the 1926 Chrysler?
  15. That helps. Do you have a part number? Thanks
  16. Wanted to buy a throw out bearing and a parts book.
  17. I need a throw out bearing for a 1926 Chrysler model 58. Nobody seems to have one or even know what it is. Please help. Thanks, Dan
  18. When I worked for NAPA OTR trucking companies bought Lucas by the case.
  19. Well I was going to put the 26 Chrysler in the parade but the darn thing won't start. So, I'll drive the 31 Model A Tudor it always starts and runs great.
  20. What was the original color for the engine 1926 Chrysler 4 cylinder. Probable a Maxwell engine.
  21. Tell me how to post a picture and I'll do it.
  22. You're right Mike. Any suggestions on where to buy parts? That seems to be a problem.
  23. I bought the car sight unseen and it will be here Friday. I need contacts that know their stuff about this car. Google was not much help with clubs.
