  1. Thanks for the info Leif! I'm picking up two wheels and hubs today. I believe they are the correct ones but ....... I'll put some photos up this afternoon. Thanks again!
  2. I'm hoping for some info on 1930 wire wheels. Just wondering about any markings, numbers, number of spokes,....... that they have on them. Close up photos would be very helpful too. I have been searching but have seen a couple different wheels being sold as Buick wheels. So I'm hoping you guys/girls can educate me a bit. My car, a 1930 model 47 has wooden wheels; which I love! But i would also like a set of wire wheels. Thanks for the help!
  3. Here are a couple more photos, she's starting to come together.:)
  4. Hi everyone, I've been looking for my father's 47 Buick. He sold it to a gentleman in Nova Scotia, Canada in the early 90's. I was able to talk to the family in NS, but they had sold it. They sold it to a couple in Ontario, Canada. I was told they drove it home from NS, what a great road trip that must have been. Any information would be great even if the individual's not interested in selling. Just hoping to find it so I can some day bring it home. I have the VIN number if needed to confirm. Thanks for looking! Jack
  5. Thanks for checking! Merry Christmas!!
  6. Thanks for checking that out for me Triller! On the body VIN tag it says body # 119
  7. Being a body man I hate when a customer brings a vehicle in that the bumpers, trim, glass...... have already been removed. The reason for this is fitment issues that could be easily fixed if the vehicle had been seen together before stripping. You will have a better finished product if you let the shop disassemble and reassemble. Shops shouldn't give you a quote without seeing the vehicle. One person's good condition vs another's are usually way off. I would stop by weekly to see the progress and to take photos for your own records during the restoration process
  8. Ok, thanks! I may have found some and they're only a four hour drive away.
  9. Lathe, I was thinking the same thing if I couldn't come by one easily. So some 28-29's are the same, great to know. Thanks Bob!!
  10. I'm hoping someone has a spare front leaf spring grease fitting bolt laying around that they'd like to sell. Or can point me in a direction of where one can be acquired. Thanks for the help!!
  11. Do you have any cables for them? If so I'm in need of one for my 21 touring, let me know. Thanks, Jack
  12. Triller, I've got some pretty cool old booklets, brochures and what not that my father collected. but the more info the better.
  13. Moncton's about an hour and a half away from where I am, it's a nice area. Have you ever made it to the Atlantic Nationals in Moncton, great outdoor show/weekend. What type of details are you able to look up/confirm? Thanks, Jack
  14. The shop that did them have done a few now and they seem to be holding up great on the other vehicles he said. He had them taken apart to coat them individually.
  15. I live in New Brunswick, Canada. I would be very interested in checking the numbers out. Any info on that would be great! Thanks, Jack
  16. Thanks Tom! Yours is looking good too, any luck finding good patterns for the wood? I would be able to take some photos and measurements of mine for you in the spring if you still need them. Unfortunately it's all tucked away in a garage with other cars for the season.
  17. I'm finally getting a start on my father's 1930 model 47. Ive been doing a lot of researching while having the frame, suspension, drivetrain......powdercoated. Now that the frame has been coated I can finally start reassembly, the fun part.
