  1. Thanks Raydurr!! That's what I've been hearing from Bob's Automobillia and a few others, but it's nice to hear from someone like yourself that's owned one. Thanks Again!!
  2. I'm finally ready to reinstall my transmission! The car was taken apart around 1977 so I'm not sure if there's a gasket and/or seal between the torque tube and the trans assembly that I'm missing. And help would be great, thanks for looking!! Thanks, Jack
  3. "front sheetmetal skin in front lower of radiator shell between front frame arms", how much? Do you have any photos of it? And are you able/willing to ship to Maine? thanks, Jack
  4. I'm still looking if anyone has any info please let me know. Thanks for looking!! Here's another photo of the 47 and my younger brother with the car, early 80's
  5. Thanks Terry, I too like the look of the red hoses and belts. I used them on my 1921 Dodge brothers touring car and think they look great. However I'm trying to put the Buick back to it's original state as it was a special car for my father.
  6. Did the original black hose say Buick on it or is that a "new" aftermarket thing? Here's a photo of my progress on my 1930 model 47. The wheels in the photo are not for the Buick, I was just dreaming of owning wire wheels. Thanks again, Jack
  7. No I haven't. Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try that right now.
  8. What color were the rad hoses that were installed on the 1930 Buicks when new? My engine had orange hoses on it, which need replacing. I can't imagine the hoses on my car being original. But the car has not been on the road since 1972ish, so maybe. I see mostly black on the 30 Buicks in the photos I've been looking through on the internet. Thanks again!! Jack
  9. Thanks for the photos tinindian! I'm not sure the Pontiac nuts are the same as the Buick ones. They seem to have a different look/styling to them. Size wise I think you're correct, thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to seeing Buick64C's photos to compare. This is a big part of what I like about these vehicles, how different the manufacturers were...... Thanks for all the info and help with this, Jack
  10. Yes, I have the bolt. I'm just looking for the correct nut that goes on it which is on the left in the second photo. Thanks again, Jack
  11. That would be great Buick64C! Thank you very much!!!
  12. I was able to grab this off a gentleman hot rodding his 1928 Buick. It was a four hour drive to get it, but if it's the correct nut ....... Can anyone confirm that the nuts look/are the same for the 1930 Buick. Here's hoping so I can have some made. Thanks again, Jack
  13. Good point Mark. There are seven 9/16 bolts for the front and eight 5/8 bolts for the rear. The photo attached above is of the front. That's just to give people an idea of what I'm looking for, a picture of the nuts. Thanks, Jack
  14. I'm missing the nuts off the leaf spring bolts. Does anyone have a photo of what the factory ones look like? I want to match them up as close to original as possible, if I can't find the originals. I've attached a photo, they're the nuts that go on the bolts with the grease fittings. Thanks! Jack
  15. I just sent you a message about the 1930 tag Thanks, Jack
