  1. Willy, Yes, you will find LED bulbs to replace incandescent bulbs in single & double "filament" configurations. Most of the websites that sell them offer 6v negative or positive ground but you have to read the specs to be sure the particular bulb is right for your application. Way more light with way less electrical load. The ones I bought to replace the 1154 bulbs I have in my car fit in the sockets just fine. What I found is these LED bulbs are VERY fussy about proper grounding. Anything less than a pristine socket will cause them not to light up. I bought mine from these people: https://www.ledlight.com/6-volt-automotive-led-lights.aspx

  3. George, A .png file is essentially a digital picture. While it looks like a document like Word or a webpage it's not. Chances are it was a page that was scanned or saved from it's original format that allowed "clicking" So, if you want to navigate to one of those websites you'll have to type it into your browser's address bar. Good luck. WParo in VT
  4. Back when I was in the service dept at the local Buick dealer I had a regular customer with an '87 Regal. Every time he came in I would notice he had a couple beers on his dash. When I asked about it he told me having those beers there was the best cooler he ever had. The cold air from the A/C would cool down or keep cold his beverage of choice. It looked something like this... Wes in VT

  7. Many years ago I worked in the service department of our local Buick dealer. One day a fellow came in for service with his brand new Park Avenue and while we were talking he told me he installed a 12v powered picnic cooler in his trunk. He was quite proud of his installation including running a wire from the fuse box to the trunk. I asked him how long it took and he said, "all day." Why so long? Well, the last six hours I was locked in the trunk because the lid came down while I was in the trunk pulling the wire into the trunk. He told me he had to wait for his wife to come home and let him out. At that point I held up his key ring which had his remote keyless entry fob on it and asked him if he'd had his keys with him? Very sheepishly he replied, "yes, I had it in my pocket. I just never thought of it."

  10. Take the top of the air cleaner off and listen, and watch. You might see / hear some backfiring there. That will tell you if it's something internal to the engine.
  11. Greg, Regarding your fuel pump location. Electric fuel pumps push better than they pull so you want it to be mounted close to the tank. You also want to have an inline filter mounted on the inlet side of the pump so no debris goes into the pump. So, does the electric pump work? Usually you can hear it run ( humming for a few seconds) when it is powered up. You didn't mention if it is powered by a separate switch or when the key is turned on. If you think you're lacking fuel at startup as a cause of the hard start; before trying to start the car, take a look down the throat of the carburetor while you move the throttle from closed to open. You should see a squirt of gas go into the venturi from the accelerator pump. If no fuel is seen chances are your carburetor is leaking from a bad needle and seat or some other reason. Let us know how you make out. Wes in VT
  12. I'd be surprised if that disc works after all this time. Floppies usually lose their magnetism over time. Wes in VT.

  20. Hello, You should select an engine stand that will support the load you expect to put on it & how much you plan to use it. There are a ton of brands out there so take a look at a few and determine which features are important to you. If you want to put a transmission on it you'll most likely need an adapter of some sort depending on the transmission. I don't know of a stand that will support an engine & transmission at the same time. FWIW, back when I was working on manual transmissions I usually just put them on my work bench. These guys have a few stands you can look at. http://www.jegs.com/ Wes in VT
