  1. My father was into classic cars. That is where I got the bug. This photo was taken by my father in our driveway in the 1970’s. Of course, the old cars were kept in the garage and the daily drivers remained outside. My father has now passed and I am the current owner of these cars. He bought the Packard in 1968. I had it restored in 2011. My dad bought the Mercedes 300S Sunroof Coupe in 1974. It continues to maintained in the same condition that it was in when my father purchased it in 1974. If anyone knows anything about the prior ownership history of these cars,I would love to hear from you. Both cars were bought in the Chicagoland area.
  2. West - do you know how I might find out more information about Robert Meyers of California? Thanks.
  3. I own a 1934 Packard rumble seat coupe. Model 1101. My father, Gene Kappel of Glenwood, IlL, bought the car in 1968. It was dark green with a tan padded top. Prior to him Gerhard Heisler of Chicago, owned the car from 1959 to 1968. Documentation that I have with the car says that the prior owner of the car was Robert Myers of Oak Park, IL. I cannot find anything about him. I am trying to establish prior ownership history. The data plate on the car says that the car was originally delivered by the Earle C Anthony dealership in LA. Interestingly, throughout the known history of the car, it has had a padded top. Does anyone know any prior history of this car? Thanks.
  4. I own a 745 Roadster. Since 1949 it was owned by Rudolph Snyder of Middleburgh, NY. From approx 1940 to 1949 it was owner by Olaf Bredel, also of Middleburgh. I have reason to believe that the original owner was Carl Klitgaard. Carl was an executive with Standard Oil. He lived in Staten Island, NY. In the late 1930’s he purchased and moved to a farm in Clinton, NJ. I believe he had the car with him at that farm. Would anyone be able to help me verify that Carl was indeed the original owner? The data plate says that the car was delivered by PMCCO NE New York.
  5. I realize that this is a longshot, but I thought I would try. I have reason to believe that my Packard roadster was originally owned by a gentleman named Carl Klitgaard. Carl was a Standard Oil executive in the late 1920s and 1930s. He lived in Staten Island New York. I believe that he owned the car from 1930 into the early 1940s. In approximately 1940 he purchased a farm in Clinton, New Jersey and relocated the car to the farm. Does anyone have any information or memories that might corroborate the above? Thanks in advance.
  6. I am looking for a fender mounted rumble seat step plate and also a gas cap (bail cap style for my car). Thank you.
