Ok I may be jumping the gun here because I don’t have the best pictures right now but……
I’m selling my 1946 (early 46, it doesnt even have the holes drilled in the grill for the name badge) sedan that I had shipped in from Las Vegas. The car coming from the desert pretty much only has surface rust, floor is rock solid (which is amazing to me living in Illinois). 27,000 original miles but has the updated cast iron engine so I’m sure the engine has less miles on it than the car. I found the original owners insurance papers in the drivers door and it turns out he owned the Crosley dealership it came from in California.
I’ve run the engine by pouring gas down the carb and it sounded great.
Comes with a brand new set of glass all the way around with all new rubber moldings and sliders. This was from the good company that polished the edges perfectly so it slides easily.
A brand new interior kit from Jerry Erickson to match the original.
A brand new set of tires with restored rims.
New fuel pump, carburetor kit, battery box (that’s the only part rusted on the car).
Current Illinois title in my name.
This car would be a good candidate as a survivor after fixing it up a little with the replacement parts that are included and shooting some clear coat or some other kind of coating to preserve it.
I have a total of $4,000 into it with all the included parts and thats what i need out of it.
To you guys who think that’s too much for a project Crosley i welcome you to find a car as solid as this, go buy all the included parts and see where youre at on price.
