  3. I have no affiliation with this what so ever, just ran across the auction.. http://bid.kaufman-auctions.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/12406/?page=1
  4. I actually never took a 'driving' test. We had written only. This was in Louisiana circa 1986.
  5. Long Lewis Hardware ( moved to downtown Birmingham from Bessemer in 1929) actually just closed a couple of months ago (bought out by another Hardware outfit) after over 100 years in business. They became a Ford dealer I believe in 1915 and the dealership still exists and is a large one.
  6. "Larry Crook Motor Co." - located near Tuscaloosa, Al.
  7. If it is a exhaust leak, you could pour a 'little' transmission fluid (ATF) in the carb with the car running and then look for the smoke. That will show you wear the leak is.
  8. I think I sold this one way too cheap when it was all said and done. I won't complain though. Someone got a good deal and they will enjoy it. Not having to deal with a ton of tire kickers didn't hurt my feelings either. http://forums.aaca.org/topic/260463-1930-pontiac-coupe/
  9. Not sure about 1970 but my 1971 had "Z28" stamped right on the firewall tag. There was no doubt it was a real Z car.
  10. I would look at the timing first based on running hot and pinging..
