  1. I'm sure he could handle the wood grain. Your gold trim looks a bit shinier than what we have. Is that gold leaf? You would have to do them all at once to ensure a good match. The Plymouth only the glove box and dummy have wood grain. And the top of the dash, havn't figured out a way to do that yet.
  2. Here is the back, the wrap comes around some so there is no visible edge with the door closed.
  3. It's a vinyl wrap, I'll get more pics for you later. If you need a different pattern for yours you can email Doug (my father) and ask him if he is willing to do it. This is mostly his venture so I don't want to speak for him there and you'll get a quicker response directly from him. He is semi retired.
  4. But of a shameless plug here. We have been looking for a way to refinish the glovebox doors on my 36 P2 Deluxe for a long time. They have a beautiful wood gained pattern with a gold stripe overlay. After much searching we decided it was going to be a DIY. The ultimate solution was a vinyl wrap. The graphic was put together by my dad, we then had it printed on vinyl wrap and applied to the door. I think it turned out great! And we are excited to offer this service to others. For $65 plus shipping we will take your door and return a finished product. Below is the ad that will be using if you are interested. I hope to be offering my steering column pad too, but it needs a bit tweaking first. After searching for a 1936 Plymouth P2 glove box door, I realized they are just not available anywhere. So, using my old, faded glove box door as a pattern I created a file that faithfully recreates the original pattern. That file was then used to make this beautiful vinyl wrap. Send me your old glove box door (no rust holes, please). It will come back to you with the vinyl wrap applied. $65 plus shipping. Email dougkrassow@ymail.com for more information.
  5. I'd like to see the head assemblies you have.
  6. Thanks for all the information gentlemen. This had been very informative and helpful.
  7. Yes, all LED except the headlights.
  8. Yes it is. I'm certain the battery is correct as all the l lights work and t the y are pos ground lights that won't work the other way.
  9. Yes, it is original 6v, +ground. It has been rewired (sorry about the earlier typo) with a rhode island wire harness to original spec. Original generator. I think dad has a guy that works on those so I might have him look at the regulator.
  10. test results below. I expected a bit more variation I guess. The numbers check out in as much as they are at least moving the correct direction. But I would have expected more than 6.25 at idle. Do those appear to be normal readings? 1. 6.33 2. 6.18 3. 6.25 4. 6.45 5. 6.44
  11. Thank you for that! We will check all that.
  12. That's what my thought is too, just want to make sure i I'm not missing something else
  13. No indication of a short. Everything functions just fine, aside from the ammeter reading anyway
  14. This is at idle with nothing on
  15. We recently required my 36 P2. Everything functions great, but dad drove it today and says it looks backwards. With the engine on and ALL electrical of it shows a discharge, but with all on it shows a charge. That would seem backward, but I don't see how we could have them switched without creating a short, and since everything works then there clearly isn't a short. Are we reading the gauge wrong? Or do I have something mixed up?
  16. I know this is a somewhat controversial subject and probably discussed a ton. But my wife is pretty adamant that the kids can't ride in the plymouth with me (36 P2). Now I don't entirely disagree there, but sometimes life is a risk. Moving on. We have agreed that lap belts in the back seat is an available compromise. Now I know these will never be as safe as newer cars or properly designed safety systems... but staying in the car has to be better than flying through the window. All that said, is anyone aware of a company that makes a "vintage look" seat belt? Something that won't look so out of place? I just plan to do 3 lap belts in the back. But chrome buckles, push button release and high tech woven belts just stand out more than I'd like. Any suggestions?
  17. Took our P2 down about 2 years ago to rewire it and finally got it back on the road! Wire harness from rhode island wire, rebuilt gauge cluster, LED lights, halogen headlamps, resilvered reflectors(Frank Mance Plating). Also added a turn signal harness, wired into the main by RI wire and blue dot tail light lenses and added front turn signals. Overall I'm thrilled! Small ground issue to work out due to us painting the tail light mounting plate (oops). But other than that it all works great and light output is significantly improved. The front turn signals aren't very bright, but it's the best bulb I could for into that little housing.
  18. Nice find! Not a lot of parts available for these you will find. But a few members here dabble in making parts. If you need one I can make a steering column grommet (fairly sure the P2 and D2 are the same there), I still have the mold I used for mine.
  19. Right now I don't have one at all for the drivers side. The photo is passenger side, which works but could probably use a rebuild. I assume by "fuzzies" your referring to the window sweeps? How much do you charge assuming I can find a drivers side to rebuild?
  20. Looking for this window "guide" for a 36 P2. This appears to be what holds the window in alignment so that it closes in the channel at the top. Does anyone know what this is called or where I might find one?
