I'm working on a 1922 Maxwell, it has a fuel vacuum tank that is suppose to get suction from the oil and pistons and pull fuel from the tank to the carburetor. I have a few questions as it doesn't seem to be working.
I'm also unsure if its installed correctly. At the top of the vacuum tank, it has a fitting stating "oil" and on the opposite side "suction" and then on the bottom is a fitting that connects the line to the carburetor.
Does the "suction" connector go to the fuel line to the tank or to the engine for oil and then same question for the "Oil" connector.
From a logical standpoint, I would think the "suction" connector would go to the fuel tank line and the "Oil" connector would go to the oil line on the engine.
Pictures attached, sorry for the blurriness.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James
