  11. Darn. I am not sure I have not taken it out. Can it be removed without removing the transmission top.
  12. I recently learned that because I started working at an antique automotive restoration shop. They specialize in early brass cars and nickel. I have learned a lot. Because I am beginning to work on other peoples antique cars I figured that I need to get my car in perfect running condition. Why would you trust me to fix your antique car for 70 bucks an hour when I can’t fix my own.
  13. At 55 I can not see my hands on the steering wheel. It vibrates that much. They just look like a blur. I also have to re touque the head. It comes loose a bit every few months. But I drive this car well over 5000 miles a year.
  14. Any updates. I am having the same problem.
  15. It appears I have a new issue. The speedometer cable is not turning. There is a problem with the transmission speedometer linkage.
  16. When turning the speedometer shaft by hand I can hear it grabbing the dial and it becomes stuck to the magnet, by friction and pressure.
  17. I was having trouble with the miles. I figured it out. I punched the odometer shaft out and turned the numbers by hand. It was at 76k so it did not take more than 15 or 20 minutes to do. All Solved. NEW ISSUE: The speedometer gets pegged at the max speed with just turning it by hand
  18. The problem I am having is the magnet is in contact with the rotating speed display. Sand it? Graphite as a lubricant?
  19. Considering this is a junked speedometer. If the mileage was true it would be different. My speedometer has not been connected for as long as I’ve had it.
  20. Hello I am trying to service and reset my speedometer. It began working erratically. I removed it and cleaned it, and applied some oil to the shaft. I am not sure how to roll the odometer to zero.
