I have a 66 Skylark with a petronix ignition and petronix 40,000 volt coil an I am trying to eliminate the resistor wire and I know one is at the ignition switch but do not know where the other end is. I also would like to know how t by pass the resistor wire to get 12 volts to the coil. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time, Les

I have a 66 Skylark and I installed a Petrronix igniter a Flame thrower coil and the instructions said ti remove the resistor wire. My diagram shows that the resistor wire is brown with a white stripe. the only brown wire with a white stripe starts on the acc. terminal on the ignition switch and I can't see that color wire coming through the firewall. Does it stop at the inside fuse box or does it go through the firewall in the harness? From I have read so far yo do not have to change the wire going to the run side of the starter. Correct me if I am wrong. If the resistor wire only runs to the fuse block then can I cut that wire and run a 12 gage wire to the fuse block to get 12 volts to the coil? Thank you for your time, Les
