  1. @joe_padavano Generally we do, but just like everybody else we sometimes we make mistakes. Especially on these tumblr posts as we do them in bulk to set them and forget them.
  2. That we did John. The 1987 version would have already been filled with all sorts of neon colors.
  3. Hey Joe, technically we're both kinda right. The ad was for the AC spark plugs and was from 1963. The car is the Mako Shark car from 1961, but as you can see from the ad and from the "corvette" badge on the front end, it was an experimental concept for the Corvette, which in retrospect I should have noted in the caption. Thanks for looking and keeping us on our toes.
  4. Hi again. I will step in for Matt as I originally posted this to our tumblr page. This image came out of a Hercules Coachbuilder brochure for 1932 Chevy Trucks. See the image below. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks for keeping us on our toes though. - Mike
  5. John, In this case, this image was the entirety of the article. It was just a one page spread on the topic. As for the "View the full article" link, we cannot change that. All of these posts are automatically posted from an RSS Feed off of our Tumblr page http://aacalibrary.tumblr.com/ and the "View the full article" link is added automatically by the RSS Feed. This is something we cannot edit. With Tumblr being a very image heavy social media platform we usually don't go too in depth with images and such because posts that are like that tend to not do as well as image based posts. If something does pique your interest we will be glad to take a research request on a topic at http://www.aacalibrary.org/request-form/ or you can stop by, or give us a call. You can also reply to the post as you have done here, but keep in mind that we only check the forum every couple of days or so. Sorry about the confusion of the "View the full article" but as I said we have no control over that wording at all. Take Care, Mike
  6. This issue was just a cover of the magazine that was found in one of our clippings files. We do however have an issue of Life from 1913 if you would like to see it next time you visit the library.
  7. Thanks for the correction John. We fixed it on our tumblr page, but it already posted here before we caught it. These posts are automatically added here from our tumblr page, so nobody is actually making these posts on this board. Once it posts at http:///www.aacalibrary.tumblr.com it gets sent here without us doing anything. We round up a bunch of stuff and place it in a queue for weeks/months in advance and sometimes mistakes are made in the process. This causes some confusion here on the board. Thanks for bearing with it and we hope you enjoy the posts. Take care, Mike Reilly Cataloger and Librarian at the AACA Library.
