If you don't need an exact fit but something fairly close, try a cover for the Chevrolet Suburban. I bought one for my 32 Cadillac sedan with a 140inch wheelbase. It fit very well, and the side mount mirrors even fit in the pockets.

Would you consider sharing your thoughts to the forum. Other members may be experiencing similar problems and search the forum for solutions. I for one are experiencing similar problems with a Cadillac V12. The car is on the back burner for now while I work on the interior. I hope to get back into the running issues later this spring.

I would like to find a woman like that now to pinstripe my Cadillac. I can't tell from the pictures if she is using a brush or some kind of wheel.

One of the few things Mr. Jim did was to buy 4 new wide whites, which you see. From what I understand, standard for Cadillac in 1932 were double sided whites.

While visiting a friend, I was checking out his old Cadillac that has been sitting in his garage for 50 years or so. I offered to help him pull the engine for a total rebuild that he had started shortly after he got the car, but that never happened. Mr. Jim knew I was interested in the old Cadillac. One evening I got the call, “Alex, That Cadillac is yours if you want it. Well Jim what do you want for it? You do not understand, I am giving you the car and I know that you will do something with it that I never will.”
Having no experience with a multi cylinder classic, I took on the challenge.
Nine years later it is still work in progress with the need of interior. After getting a quote of 18-20K to start, I purchase a Juki walking foot. Now I going to learn to Trim.
I may not know what I am doing, but that does not mean I cannot get it right.
There is nothing more expensive than a gifted Classic car in need of a full restoration.
The big question is, what do you do with a gifted car of significant value after a significant investment?
Do you restore it, do you flip it, part it out. Or re-gift it.

Beautiful car! What is the purpose of the running board mount spotlight on the passenger side? Can it be operated from the driver side?

For you Trippe Light haters out there, I installed LED bulbs in the Trippe's for night driving. Also replaced all other bulbs with LED bulbs. Very little draw on the 3-brush generator system. This way I was able to keep the rare and expensive 3 filament headlight bulbs on the 32 Cadillac.

I believe it would depend on your application. Different rubber would require different glue. I have had good results with 3M 5200 with EPDM rubber mats. Unlike contact cement, it allowed me to be able to adjust the mats when set. The downside is that it takes about 7 days to fully cure.

Pitts in steel are sanded smooth, copper plate, polished, nickel plate and then chrome. Pits in diecast are individually ground out with a Dremel and filled with silver solder, block sanded, copper plated, polished, nickel plate and chromed. Copper is not used as a filler for pits.
He did the bumpers for my Cadillac which were heavily pitted and made of spring steel. All the pits had to be sanded smooth and then blocked. Try sanding spring steel!

1932/33 Cadillac Wheel Discs
I am looking for detailed photos and dimensions of the optional Wheel Discs for the 1932/33 Cadillac. Would anyone would have an original that could take pictures. Interested in how they are attached. An unusable damaged that you may have laying around and willing to part with would be great.
I have a friend that is a metal spinner, and we were discussing the possibility of reproducing these before he sells his equipment.

Roger, for the front, I have 5.5 inches to the bumper. The rear would be 8.5 inches from the fuel tank cover to the bumper.

Roger, I did not receive an August 13, PM. If you resend it with some kind of sketch with the dimensions you need, I will gladly fill in the blanks. Will also try to verify the dimensions below. The trunk rack is 40”. Add ½” on each side for the brace at the rack and another ½” at each end at the bumper rack support, this will give you 40 “ between bumper rack supports.
The above picture is of my 5-passenger sedan. Pictures of a red car showing a tire chain box was not from me.

Roger, I thought I had supplied the bumper dimensions with the air filter dimensions. The front bumper is 4 inches x 68 inches, the rear is 4 inches x 73 inches.
My car is the 5-passenger sedan with the 140-inch wheelbase. The upper mounting brackets do appear to be different.

Roger, as always, your craftmanship is amazing. The luggage rack is 2 pieces at 40“ wide, and 6” and 12” in length. Total length of 19”. I hope this is what you need and I have attached some other pictures that may be helpful.

I believe it's all relative on how much money that you have. Take the person that won the 1.5 billion lottery in Florida. What are you going to do with that kind of money. You can buy that pile of scrap crash/floor sweepings and have it rebuilt by Ferrari on just the interest earned. If I had won that lottery, I could see me donating, sharing and doing all kinds of stupid stuff like buying and rebuilding crashed Ferrari's and Pierce Arrows, Because I can.

Not AACA friendly but, if you dare to be different, this is what can be done. I believe he used a V drive from a boat to transfer power. The car is very drivable.

Walked out into my garage and found this generic battery smoking in the charger. I will never buy another generic battery. Its not worth taking a chance of burning down the garage or house.
