  1. The following answer to my question to Identify the clip is from Restoration Specialties. "These are the clips that are used to hold the bottom of the door panel in place. They are very hard to find and nobody has ever reproduced them." Thanks for the tip jpage. Hope this helps someone else. Have a great day and God Bless, Selmer
  2. I'm in need of a 1937 Plymouth/Dodge left side (drivers side) door window garish/molding with the vent window. The condition of the molding and the vent window glass itself is not important as long as it has a good original upper vent window mounting bracket. See attachment. A tudor or four door sedan garnish/molding with a vent window, I believe, have the same upper bracket. At lest I'm willing to take the chance. The bracket is what I'm really interested in. See attached photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I had a problem with my 37 Plymouth not starting that I like to have never found. After rebuilding the starter, carburetor, new coil, and everything else, it would not start. I removed all the wires from the starter switch. Tied them together and connected them to a six volt battery. I them connected a 12 volt battery to the starter only. The engine fired every time it turned over. I decided to replace the battery cables. That was when I found out what was wrong with the car. Someone had cut the battery cable at the mounting lug where it connected to the engine block and had attached it the frame of the car. It had enough continuity to turn the engine but not fast enough to fire. I replaced the battery cables (positive back to the block), hooked everything back up to six volt. It has never failed to start the first time it turns over. Go figure. Selmer
  4. I'm in bad need of a set of tail lights for a 1937 P4 Plymouth coupe. Tail light housings or complete light assemblies. Will buy outright or trade. Have two descent artillery wheels to trade or sale. Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks and God Bless, Selmer
  5. Thank you for the information. I really appreciate it. I'll send them a photo today.
  6. Can someone tell me how the window channel clip pictured below is installed. I found four of these in the bottom of the doors on my 1937 Ply. coupe. I can't find anyplace they will fit. Thanks and God Bless.
  7. Go to the local Wal-Mart and get a cheap outboard boat motor primer bulb. Place it under the hood near the fuel pump. Pump the gas up by hand until you can see gas squirt in the carburetor when you pump the accelerator. If you don't drive the car much, you can leave the primer in place to aid in starting after setting for a few weeks. You can also install a 6 volt electric fuel pump near the fuel tank out of sight and use when needed if installed through an on off switch. This also works great for vapor locking, if you've ever had that problem. It works great on my 49 Ford coupe. I'm installing one on my 37 Plymouth P4 coupe as a spare.
  8. I would have to agree with DodgeKCL. Unless it's a rare/unusual car, I would think very seriously about it. There's no doubt that you can buy a restored car cheaper than you can ever restore this one. That being said: I realize that a person can afford to spend a few hundred $ a month rather that shell out several thousand at one time, if you know what I mean. My experience says to bite the bullet and shell out the cash. This way you can be enjoying your car and several years of your life, rather than laying on you back on the garage floor dreaming about it. Have a great day and God Bless, Selmer
  9. Does anyone have a reference for the color coding of the door latch springs of the 1937-38 Plymouth/Dodge car? I've seen one box that was marked Red Heavy Duty which leads me to believe they are of different straight. Is this correct or does the color denote different manufacturers? The ones on my 37 are so strong that I'm afraid I'm going to break the door handles. Thanks, have a great day, and God Bless, Selmer
  10. There are three 1933 Plymouth paint charts and one 1933 Plymouth Paint Color Schemes Bulletin wj7111-N5B1ZM on Ebay right now. Just do a search on 1933 Plymouth paint. Hope this helps. Have a great day and God Bless, Selmer
  11. Not sure of the correct name for this part but, I'm looking for the worm gear regulator that rolls the windshield in/out on a 1937 Plymouth P4 coupe. See attached photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and God Bless, Selmer email at srljr@embarqmail.com
