  1. Gradually digging out a few miscellaneous items I have left after moving to my new shop .Have downsized my total number of cars to a more manageable level and will be listing a few things here over the next few weeks . First up is a show quality 1966 Riviera GS  air cleaner that I replated a few years back . Snorkel is really nice which is frequently a problem . I have found that these are actually harder to find that the dual snorkel ones . This will fit the standard Quadrajets  and Edelbrocks according to Russ Martin . Not cheap but you won’t find a nicer one .

$1200 + shipping in U.S. only . If you need more pics , happy to do so. Thanks Ken

  2. Thank you very much Bernie - 99% of the items were  sold within 60 days - few miscellaneous things remain which I will be listing in the near future . As I mentioned in the original post, I am absolutely done with restoring cars - IF I ever buy another car , I will buy someone else’s restoration and tweak as needed !😀. Will leave that fun of restoration, cussing , frustration , searching , scraped knuckles ,wife asking “ what are you doing?,  etc to the more energetic Riviera lovers . Best , Ken

  3. I have always heard rumors about the “  DynaFlow burp” but never heard the cause . Certainly saw on the floor with mine when I didn’t drive it frequently.

There’s a written procedure in the shop manual.  You’re going to have more questions which are best answered in a shop manual so now’s a good time to buy one.  It involves, propping up the hood and removing the hinge. But there’s a lot more to it than just that

As Ed says - LOTS more to it than you want even think about! Then cowl panel has to come off to remove the nut that holds the wiper mechanism to the motor and be sure it is oriented correctly when replacing it. There is also a small hole in the wheel well that allows access to one of the three screws attaching the motor to the firewall . Removing the hood hinge is a must and I personally didn’t feel secure propping up one corner so took the entire hood off. Lots of contorting and cussing believe me . Whoever designed this should have  been fired or required to change a few themselves . Easy to do on an assembly line with no fender but taking a fender off and the headlight assembly along with it is a royal PITA . Good luck. Ken

  5. Thanks all for the kind comments . Couple things to correct. The “ garage” in the first picture is the my 63 is not mine but the dealers who  bought that car from several years ago . My garage is in the second picture with the 65 GS . Secondly the black 66 GS is the original picture of the car when I purchased it and I accidentally put in the wrong picture .. Color was incorrect . I had the car stripped to bare metal and painted its original gun metal color as seen in picture below . Thanks Ken

  6. Hello fellow Riviera friends - there comes a point in all our lives when new directions need to be explored and I am at that point . After many years in the

“Riviera business”  and currently having 10 Rivieras , I have decided to sell a few to help fund my retirement home  on the lake.  I plan to retire in July 2024 after 50 years of surgical practice so over the next 12 months I will downsize my collection to 4-5 Rivieras . I am mentioning this to friends on the forum first before sending any cars to BAT, ACC, Mecum, Barrett-Jackson  later this year . By doing this hopefully we can both save some money . All of my cars are in very nice condition and ready to drive and show . The cars that I will be selling are : black 1963, silver 1965 GS ( frame off), gun metal 1966 GS (frame on)  riviera red 1966 GS (16,000 miles ) ,  red /black vinyl top 1968, trumpet gold/black vinyl top 1969 GS . If anyone has interest in any of these , let’s discuss . Thanks for allowing me to get personal . Best, Kendall Reed

  7. Over the last couple months I have been putting up all of the extras I have accumulated in the last ten years . Rather than listing the remaining items individually, I am posting several pictures after I have laid them out on my garage floor. If you see anything of interest, I will send specific pictures and make you a very fair deal as I need the room . To get them all shown will take at least a couple more posts . Thanks for looking and helping me clean up.

Here is a nice set of 4 code 895  15x6 rally wheels correct for the 71-85 Rivieras. The #1 was rechromed and primed /painted and never installed . The other three have the correct satin black and are useable as -is but all four could be painted to match with no problem. Chrome is really nice on all . The #4 chrome is very slightly less bright than the others but would be barely noticeable when installed . $800 + shipping . More pics easily available if there is anything specific you want to see . Thanks

  10. Dear 1963-1973 Riviera friends : Every year Des Moines hosts the Concours d’ Elegance in early to mid September . This  is THE premier classic car show in Iowa and participation is by invitation only  but attendance is free to the public. This year to mark the 60th anniversary of the Buick Riviera, the planners have agreed to a first time ever  Riviera class between the years 1963-1973 . If your car is selected to participate , you can elect to have it judged or not judged. The goal is to have at least one or more  of every year model Riviera between

1963 -73. Applications to participate are required by July 31st, 2023. We are hoping to have MANY ROA members submit applications  as well as attend this really nice event in the beautiful Fall weather. Details are on the Concours d’Elegance website or you can contact Bill Gorman @bbgorman35@gmail.com for details and any questions .  Thanks for considering it .

  11. Still sorting out extras from my storage. A few years ago a very  nice fellow ROA member, who most of you know  well , gave me a brand new 1966-67 set of black vinyl interior for bucket seats for a restoration was doing at the time . I subsequently ended up not having to use the set and so am offering here to an ROA member Free for shipping costs only . If someone is NOT an ROA member , the cost will be $140 ( to recover my original shipping costs ) plus exact cost of  shipping to a destination in the continental U.S. Thanks Ken

66-70 are the exact same cap except for the 2 bar spinner on the 66 and the flat center on the 70.

    in order 66, 67-69, and 70.

I restore these. I'm always looking for good damage rust & pit-free parts or whole caps. Finding undented un-rashed outer rims is a challenge to find. I can pull most of the dents I can get to on the backside.

These 3 are restored. All 3 had dented rashed rims. The 2-bar spinner assembly is NOS.

Does anyone know of a good source for reproduced R medallions?

That’s great info- thanks. IMO the 66 is the best looking hubcap of them all.
