Solder wire would work best with the battery threads as they are soft lead. Not sure how they would handle a helicoil. The threads on the battery look ok, so I'm going to replace the cable end and hopefully all will be well. Thanks for all of the help!!!

Hello folks. I went to my shop to start the Reatta and ended up with a horrible clicking sound when I tried to turn it over. After many years messing with my Harley, I realized that it was probably a loose or corroded connection. I undid the battery cables and cleaned them, cleaned the negative ground terminal, and cleaned the positive side at the terminal block. As I was going back together with it, I saw that the positive battery cable connection thread was stripped. I've never dealt with the rubber boot style cables, so I came here to find out how you can get the bolt out of the rubber boot in order to replace it? The battery threads look ok, but I definitely don't want to strip them out trying to screw a stripped bolt into it! Anyway, if you've got any ideas on how to get the bolt out, I'd appreciate the help. It's supposed to be nice here this weekend and I'd like to get it out. Thanks, Tim

Hey Dan!! Yeah, we got the one that was for sale on Duncan. The guy that sold it to us has the white vert now. He got it from his father. I haven't seen the red coupe yet.

On my way back to work today, I passed a black coupe going the other way. Also, the gentleman that sold us ours got the one that his father was giving to him. It's a white vert with red interior. Kinda strange to see 3 reatta's running around a town of 15000 people in the middle of nowhere!!

We would use it solely to protect the interior of the car from the sun and birds. I can also see it saving wear and tear on the top.

Thanks Daniel!! I'm not to sure about anything on these 3.8's. I just saw the charger for sale and was curious. (And, I highly doubt the wife would let me have some fun if it did fit!!!)

SP, do you know if the supercharger off of a 97 GTP would be a direct fit on the 3.8 in a Reatta? Reason I ask, is there's a lady in my town trying to sell just the charger and intake off of a 97.

Does anyone that has a Vert use a cockpit cover for covering the interior while parked outside for a time? I am looking into them just to protect the interior without the hassle of putting the top up and taking it down every time. If you have one, where did you get? Thanks, Tim

I finally got to get her out and let her stretch her legs last night!! Went for a leisurely 30 mile hike through the wide open spaces and enjoyed every minute of it!!
