  1. Hello, i´m wondering if the tailfins of my 1959 Cadillac flat top are slightly bent (to the inside of the trunk). On some other 59´ Cadillacs i saw on car meetings, i had the feeling some of them had the same issue.... Can anyone tell if all cars had the same measurement from fin to fin from the factory... can anyone take the measurement from his car and post it here? Please measure exactly from one top end of the fin to the other top end of the fin (inside, painted area not the trim). Thank you so far, Marco
  2. Hi to all, my 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood is missing the sunvisors (blue interior).I have a pair of sunvisors of another car. They are grey in color and the material is kind of vinyl. I searched the net for sunvisors and stumbled across of repro sunvisors from Newstalgia Parts. Here is the link: http://vi.vipr.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=371319575162&t=0&tid=10&category=34206&seller=newstalgiaparts&excSoj=1&excTrk=1&lsite=100&ittenable=false&domain=ebay.com&descgauge=1&cspheader=1&oneClk=1&secureDesc=0 My question: which material was original in the 59´ Fleetwood? Cloth with a finger tab patch of vinyl? Has anyone a picture? That would help. Had all the passengers side sunvisor two snap buttons for the mirror? Has anyone pictures? Thinking of redoing the grey ones i have in the correct color and style or order repros from e.g. Newstalgia Parts. I want to be as close to original as can be. Opinions are welcome. Thank you so far, Marco
  3. Hello, i want to buy a carpet for my 1952 Buick Super Riviera. What is the correct, original style for my car? Plush cut style, cut pile or loop? Thank you for your help? What is a good adress/where can i buy it? Thanks.
  4. Hi to all Buick lovers, let me introduce myself. My name is Marco and i live in the south west of Germany. I love old cars...especially us cars out of the fifties. My new „toy“ is a 1952 Buick Super Riviera. The car is absolutely original...first paint (rubbed through), only 59000 miles and it drives amazingly.. No noises, rattles, squeeking. I want to keep it as much original as i can. But there was one thing i wanted to change: the vent window rubbers. They looked so disgusting. So i ordered a pair of them. Originally it is one piece of rubber. But the replacements were two parts (see picture). I installed it first on the passengers side. You´ve to drill out the original rivets and replace them later with little screws. To make a long story short: After installin its not possible to open or close the vent window by the handle. I´ve to push really hard against the vent window to get it closed or to open it. I´ve adjusted it in all different possibilities. And I know where i have to adjust it (i´ve also the shop manuel). Also i don´t like the screws (instead of the rivets). O.k. you see them only when the door is open. But as i mentioned before, the car is all original and i want to keep the look. I´m really disappointed and want to turn back the time. If i knew that before, i never changed these rubber parts! So please help me: Is there another manufacturer of the vent window rubber part....or is there a chance to get NOS parts? Or, does anybody has a complete original old vent window frame incl. the rubber? Please help me! Greets, Marco
  5. do you have an exhaust manifold? Searching a good one for my 1952 Super Riviera. As far as i know the exhaust manifold of the 248cui engine will also fit the 263. Thank you, Marco
  6. i´m searching a good (non cracked/warped) exhaust manifold for my Buick 263cui straight eight engine. Thank you, Marco
  7. Hi Steve, thanks for your quick response. Correct me if i´m wrong. Is the 51´Buick side trim not slightly different to the 52´ trim? Thanks, Marco
  8. Hi there, i´m searching for my 1952 Buick Super Riviera (2 door hardtop model, 56R) the passengers side sweep spear trim. I would also be interested in a good original hood ornament for my car cause mine is heavily pitted. And hard to find seems the brass fitting for the fuel line (probably 60 degrees angle) which goes into the fuel pump (the same fitting is also at the exit on the pump). Thank you so far, Marco
