Kfle, you absolutely nailed it. Everything said. I am 57 and completely agree. What would then people 10-20 years younger say? Are here any? I am in no real world car club, I go to an open car meet nearly every Sunday morning and enjoy the company, no time table, no pressure, you talk or you don't. I get a coffee and there is a barbeque, enough for most men. I am so busy and stressed out at work I really do not want one thing only - pressure. And there is plenty in today's world, much more than 20 years ago or even 10. And btw here in my country I do not even know if there is any judging of classic cars. I do not need it at all. What I am missing in the real world is the advice and the encouragement that I get on this forum. You guys are my club, although I have never seen anybody in real. Thank you.

1958 Super 2-dr. hardtop in Texas, $13,500

Really nice car for the money. Is that an original interior? Does anybody know? -
This is a huge amount of car for 8 grand. Do these cars have no followers anymore in the US? I am stunned how many good looking cars can be bought right now for little money. You buy the chrome and you get the rest of the car for free.... Amazing. But white is just not the right color for these. At least not for me. A nice pink or blue would fit much better.

The dash in the Buick is fantastic. One of my car buddies has a blue 37 LaSalle. That dash is super nice, too. -

Thank you! I think this divider gives the car a more distinctive look. Otherwise the rear of the car looks a little boring. Does a missing divider means it is worth a lot less? Of these mid 30s three window coupes, which is the most sought after year? I like the '36 grills a lot, but 36 seems to be the last year when wood was still used. -

Do the specials always have a split rear window? The green one in the UK has a single window. Just wonder. -

Now I regret that it was not me..... -
Happy for you that it worked out for your 51. I had bought the same for my 53 Roadmaster and I gave up on it. Way to hard material and not compressible enough. So the doors stick out too much. Maybe you got a newer batch of rubber with better characteristics. I guess I will buy at the end from Steele as I have already removed the superhard and ugly old gasket.

With all the problems here and there, this is still a tempting car. At least for me. There is a great video on youtube with a 36 coupe : https://youtu.be/ucNzBLYEJ7c Fixed the link Hans -

Are seats and door panels original or redone when the car was restored in the 70s? Look too new to be original, right? -
I had bought this 52 Catalina a few years back for 13.000 USD out of a museum in Texas. Running condition, needed no work at all and I love the straight eight. Really smooth running, very reliable car. So the mentioned 13.5 grand are very reasonable for this one here. But I think the 54 is not a really sought after year. Most people prefer the 53 or like me the 50 to 52.

What a find! At 9 to 10 grand I'd like to take it, too. 😁😂. Amazing that from time to time things like this still pop up. A real time machine. Hope you get it. -
Thanks, guys. Rubber the right way and Fusick both at USD 250 , Metro does not have it. 😔

Hi all, I need to replace the vent window rubber on my 1952 Buick Super Riviera and I am a bit hesitant to buy from the established sources like Steele, Cars, Kanter etc. A pair of these rubber pieces at 250 USD is just insane in my eyes and I only need it for the drivers side! Is anybody aware of a cheaper source or even the manufacturer of these? Thanks a lot!
