  1. I’d stay away from heat, old Bakelite does not fair well with high temps, it will thermoset.
  2. The spline is probably rusted, have you used any lubricant? I’ve always had success using a three finger pulley puller. Wedging the hooks under lip on the underside.
  3. Had a few folks ask me if you can convert a passenger window regulator to a drivers window regulator….short answer yes. Watch the video, ask questions, give a call…I can help.
  4. Love the duel sides and front hinged doors, looks great!
  5. Page 8 from these guys. https://www.quietride.com/web/viewer.html?file=https://www.quietride.com/catalogpdfs/dodge_truck_catalog.pdf
  6. Light bucket is not from a Truck. I believe that is a car bucket. You have the incorrect bucket. The correct bucket is exactly the inverse shape of the mounting base and absolutely smooth at the mounting location no raised area, just a large inverse shape of the mount.
  7. Welcome to the club Pete...What started out as a engine refresh, ended up being an entire frame off restoration...7 years later. Worth every minute of frustration, fabrication, exhaustion, and euphoria when its was all done, picking up an AACA First Place at its first National Event was worth it all... Cheers!
  8. We won a first Junior @ the Special Western Fall National in Tempe, AZ....So happy.
  9. While searching in the junk yard/salvage yard/swap meet/e-bay..(thanks to Jack Henton) 1/2 ton's only 1936 - 11 slot artillery wheels. 1937 - Solid Disk with three slot stamped ovals around the edge 1938 - Solid Disk with four slot rolled ovals around the edge
  10. Looks familiar, but mine is a different decade and body style. Here is the material I used, a rubberized fabric. https://dcmclassics.com/bed-parts/40-b-263-body-mount-kit-cab-box-set-of-12-.html?
  11. I only will do clamps, the home shop fellow that ends up buying it (some day, when I am gone) will appreciate it...😉
  12. Looks great Dennis, are you going to weld your joints or clamp them? Steve at DCM had hangers and clamps, fixed me right up. https://dcmclassics.com/42-1929-1935-dodge-truck?id_category=42&n=164
  13. Ah got it, good for you, glad you found mine in the roster. Eric and I have connected many times own the book... AACA Special Western Show & Tour. We are going, show only, crossing fingers for our first Junior....
  14. Sweet parts, let me know. By the way you going to Tempe in November for the show?
  15. Had a minor issue of the rubber separating from the metal and the rubber cracking, they stepped up and replaced them free of charge, sans the ride.
  16. Looks great Dennis, adding the felt is a great idea...did you see some remnants of the original or is this an add on. Also, where the tail pipe comes under, is there a heat shield on the tank?
  17. SH is the same as Lye, I use Caustic Soda, similar to Lye and SH, but food grade, just because we use in the the pickling of our olives, much easier to get out here and half the price.
  18. Stakeside, I thought you are on my side of the Coast, NorCal perhaps, be careful, as the Lie/Lye we get is monitored closely by the tree huggers...(nothing against tree huggers 🤗)
  19. Send an email to Steve at DCM Classics of Michigan. He has them in leather with a lace up and wire closure. They are not on his website, so you will need to email him. dodgecentralmi@gmail.com
