One would think that one would turn to family to aid in the answers to these type of questions since there are probably more than this author in the estate. This estate subject has been in previous threads. "Hide" may be the operant word.

Actually quite the opposite, per current Darrin Registry, KFOCI members outnumber non-members by approximately 2 to 1. And how is the BJ auction result germane to this conversation?
-
You obviously have never been to a KFOCI meet where Darrins are judged to be nearly 200 points, 'cause those proud current owners of often multiple owner cars are driven to search out to find NOS, as well as excellent reproduction parts, to restore their cars to near production quality. Happens everyday in private garages and restoration shops all over the world. Join the KFOCI and hang around those cars and listen to owners stories. NB this happens in all car marques from 1900s to today – have you not seen Jay Leno's Garage? PS: A little elbow grease goes a long way!! PPS: You have stated in previous posts that your wife is dismayed by your spending on Darrin parts, so which way is it?

For sure Kaiser Darrin, although this is not the correct hold down bracket, nor are the cables correct. For such a rare/high value car, "correctness" matters.

IT APPEARS THAT WE HAVE SOME DISHONESTY HERE. I RESEARCHED THIS ITEM ON EBAY. IT WAS LISTED ONCE AND NOT SOLD. THEREFORE, THE STATEMENT ABOUT BEING BURNED FOR 120 IS MUCH LESS THAN BEING TRUTHFUL!!! DISHONESTY SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED HERE.

MAKE SURE IT IS "LEFTY LOOSEY---RIGHTY TIGHTY" NO "LEFTY TIGHTY--RIGHTY LOOSEY"

Nick, You have started several threads implying your dissatisfaction with the predicament that you are in regarding your late fathers estate. In particular, I infer that the many cars were not bequeathed to you is troubling, based upon a thread regarding acquiring a "lost" title, among other related threads. May I suggest that your father was indeed a very smart man in his estate planning. After all, he had acquired quite a collection of cars, so he had the wealth and knowledge to do just that. You may not like what he did, but possibly you are living exactly what he had wanted to happen.

Makes no sense to post it in "what is it" since first pic tells what it is

Let me know the serial numbers of the Darrin frames. One or more may be the missing Darrins I have been looking for for years. Great news to find some old frames. -

Good news and bad news. 7" across and no dents. Bad news is that a guy bought them within minutes of my post. Paypal completed the deal. -

Will these do? Let me know the contact info for the 85 year old and maybe we can cut a deal. Since we're in the same age group we can talk turkey. -

Here is a rare Kaiser Darrin with a hard top. Not a barn find, but an old garage find. THIS PHOTO IS FROM A FACEBOOK PAGE "KAISER DARRIN ENTHUSIAST", MANAGED BY TERRY TRASATTI WHO IS THE EDITOR AND MANAGER OF THE KAISER DARRIN NEWSLETTER AND REGISTRY FOR THE KAISER FRAZER OWNERS CLUB. HE DEALS WITH OWNERS OF KAISER DARRINS ALL OVER THE WORLD.
