  6. does anyone know some website´s with 1950 windsor/new yorker parts? hard to find in sweden happy with whatever you can come up with, original, custom..... //Dennis, Sweden
  7. My biggest issue is the audio, and all the things like, amplifire, stereo are 12volt. I dont see any problems with the 6 volt exept that.. And if the battery dies, no one can help with jumpcables, most of the cars back home in Sweden are 12v. But i understand your point
  8. hi there! does anyone know a good site where you can buy what you need to build on from 6 volts to 12 volts? I was going to do this and do not find much when searching. new ignition parts needed., since I have presto-matic transmission (tip-toe shift) I guess they're some kind of soloniod for gears? Best regards, Dennis
  9. thanks guys for all tips and trix! got some info now from the owner, it may not be a problem with the compression. he said it was 40% to low, but when i asked him what the compression was i said "around 100psi".. seems like it never was a problem the guy maybe had bad knowledge on the engine but i will putt some oil drops in the cylinders just for sure! Best regards, Dennis
  10. its 40% all over, exactly the same compression on all 8. so my guess is that the cam isn't in right place. dosn't feels like all the piston are wrong mounted? but thanks for the pics! tried to find some sort of manual but its hard Thanks !
  11. Hi there! I have a problem with my 1950 windsor (straight eight), it was recently renovated but the compression is about 40% too low, the engine was bored and had new pistons and everything else as well as bearings and gaskets. I suspect the cam is wrong and I'm trying to find information on how the cam drive looks like, thought that i could maybe move the cam in place?. if anyone has pictures or any good link where I can see what it looks like so I'm very grateful. really hard to find info on this engine in Sweden so I turn to you here in the states best regards, Dennis
