A friend bought the body,has it totally restored on a chassis but needs the top frame. It's not a rod or resto rod,but restored as close to original as he could get it. It is believed that DeSoto,Dodge,Plymouth and small Chrysler all used basically the same top frame in 32 and maybe a year or two either way. He's not a cheapskate,he'll buy one,pay to have one like yours made,or whatever it takes. I'm in Cheyenne,he's 100 miles South in Denver,Colorado and not in the AACA. Very much appreciate any help.

A few years ago I bought out a joblot of early to mid 50's Oldsmobile parts out of an estate. I believe there were two or three yokes in it. If all else fails,send me all the info you can on your tailshaft and I will look. Is your engine a 303? Could be I have other parts of interest.

I'm parting out this frame after getting the parts I needed. These spring covers are in pretty good shape but not perfect. They are a bunch of small sheetmetal pieces fastened together. Some have minor damage and there is surface rust but no heavy rust issues.
There were two Alemite fitting in each spring so grease can be forced in to lubricate the leaves and prevent rust,one is missing but I probably have one around here. All the spring joints are in good shape and show very little wear. The bolts are included. Like to get $450 for the set plus shipping. These are heavy and will be expensive to ship. Maybe two in one box and one in another,or maybe all three separately. In one of the rear covers is stamped "Alemite Lubricating Spring Covers Prodect of Bassick MFG Co Chicago. There are patent dates on 1917 and 1919. One spring main leaf is stamped 32704 11-21,the other 32705 12-21. Both are stamped W&H ROWLAND SILICO-MANG,PHILADELPHIA.

Most of my DeWalt stuff is 18 volt. Just wondering if anyone has bought those cheap replacemant batteries all over ebay and if they are any good. I bought a 20 volt battery at Home Depot with an adapter so it could be used on an 18 volt drill or whatever,it charged up in 30 seconds,ran down in 20 seconds. I took it back. My drill works fine but held together with a hose clamp so it may be time to start modernizing but I still have the sawzall,impact,grease gun and grinder so I'm not sure. Appreciate any info.

I think it's Oldsmobile around 37. There are differences between the 6 cyl model and the 8 but that's as close as I can come.

There are lockrings and then there are rims that take lockrings to hold the tire on. I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks Jon,appreciate it. I have BB-1 with a governor on it,I can't really make out what the tag says,it's a bit damaged. I could try to get a picture of it or send you the tag,see if it's anything you want.

The side panels are right at 39" long,21 1/4" top to bottom in front,22" in back,front top panel measureing over the curve is 14 1/4" wide,21 3/4" in back,there is a ridge in the center next to the hinge,starts in front 2" wide,about 3 3/4" in back,shrinks as it goes to the back and disappears a couple inches from the back. The louvers are on a raised panel. Appreciate any info on ID.

Picked this up many years ago and it's time to try to get it ID'd. Some of the pieces are cracked or broken,the main,long piece looks okay.

A friend restored the car but needs a top frame. He's not a cheapskate. He will pay you to loan him yours,pay you to have a duplicate made of yours,pay you for dimensions,whatever it takes. Do you have a parts book that lays out the components with dimensions? Sell it to him. Is there a research facility anywhere in the country that has dimensions? You can make some money on them if you do. Those that try to get money for blue sky need not respond. If you can really help,give me a holler in the form of a PM. Thanks.

1935-36 Ford pickups have a flange for the headlight that would pretty well match the oval ring around the big hole. They didn't have fender lights so that small hole was probably an after market turn signal.

Looks like mid 20's Cadillac intake manifold. An updraft carb hung in the center of it.

It's so complete that you can go a long ways on what you have before you get stumped and stalled on missing items if at all. Join the American Truck Historical Society and get any help you can from them. Other clubs may also be of interest. Looks like a great project,go for it.

It has been restored for two or three years and he is aware of all the hurdles he will need to jump through. In the throws of the Great Depression I'm guessing that Chrysler,like all the manufacturers,interchanged as many parts as possible between their makes to save extra tooling costs. According to him,most of the other companion makes would work. Hoping for any leads or possibilities.
