Not sure if this is the date code but the number is 1297591-2 under that is 12 14. It would make sense if this engine is not original to the car based on what I know.

You didn't comment on the engine? Was it because I didn't put the 6 in front?

There is a seller on e-bay selling the bushing and bolt. Search on Center Steering Idler Arm Kit 37 buick. Kind of expensive.

Has anyone tried these radials. I would appreciate any feedback on them.

My father in law is trying to hunt down the problem with his 1938 model 41 with the 248 cu. The car will act like its not getting enough gas when traveling at a steady speed. It kind of jerks back and forth but if he pushes down on the gas pedal it seems to run fine. This only happens when trying to stay at a consistant mph. Very noticable aroung 30 mph or so but will do it even at 55 mph. Carb has been rebuilt and the in line filters have been changed going to the fuel pump. Timing has been checked and new points installed. No change. Any ideas?

It's just the leaks I'm concerned about. I would like to start out by changing the transmission seals and the touque tube seals. Need to find someone I can trust to do the job.

Transmission will need to come out. I've taken these out before so I understand the procedure just not sure if I want to do it this time. I'm still going to need a good transmission person as I plan on putting new input and output bearings in and make any other repairs necessary.

Looking for someone who can recommend a shop to work on my transmission this spring. I live in Minnesota just outside St Paul. The transmission is just starting to leak to much so looking for a good shop.
