  7. Someone posted this : Some of the results from today's auction. About 50 lots were offered online. There were more sold offline, but their conditions ranged from poor to usable. A new (don't know if it is NOS or a reproduction) Darrin windshield brought $950 An NOS Darrin tach drive distributor - $450 A pair of NOS HJ bumper guards with a pair of NOS Darrin headlight doors - $250 A nice, used Darrin grille - $250 A reproduction Darrin grille - $375 A 49-50K hood ornament, complete - $180, a second unit brought $160 All of the above plus a 10% buyers premium. Most everything brought well over current asking prices...but then again, all of the items were very nice. Auction update - the 49K with 13000 miles brought $8800 and the 53K with 3000 miles fetched $15500. The Darrin was the buy of the auction at $62000. It was reportedly an unrestored car that could have been made to run and driven as is.

Includes hands-on tear down and assembly of components on a typical American vehicle) Sheet Metal Restoration (TIG, MIG, Oxy-acetylene welding, English wheel, metal finishing) Second week classes are: Automotive Paint (theory and practice of modern automotive Paint systems) Sheet Metal Restoration (TIG, MIG, Oxy-acetylene welding, English wheel, metal finishing) Engine Babbitting(covers different types of Babbitt and the equipment needed to restore bearings in early engines.
