Before I do something I would probably be sorry for, I would like to ask a question of you folks. I am refurbishing a utility trailer that a neighbor had "outback" for around 40-50 years I guess. Anyway, the trailer sits on an automobile axle, and it has old wooden spoke wheels with hubcaps that say "Chrysler Six" on them. The tires needed replacing as the first step, and when I got them off I found out they had wood spokes in them. I did just a little research and have an idea they are probably from the 30's, but I am not sure. Beneath a layer of ugly pain they are really in very good condition. Anyway, to make a long story short, I had the old tires taken off and replaced with some that are nearly new. Before I paint the wheels and put them on it, I thought I would see if they are in demand at all, and if they are, perhaps get an idea of what they are worth. They do have the hupcaps and rings that mount to the wheels. Any info would be appreciated. I was planning on painting them tomorrow, but I thought I would pose this question here first. If anyone is interested, please e-mail me at --- dennycook "at" tds "dot" net Only one picture will upload but I do have more on PhotoBucket that I can e-mail if there is any interest. At the least, I would like to find out what kind of car they were on and the year if possible. Thank you in advance for any help that you may give me.
