  1. Thanks Jack! This gives me another option!
  2. Thanks "Uptown dodge and Keith". Here is a picture of my '38...barn find & modifies "Ole Skool".
  3. To whomever "hwellens" is...I may not be a senior member or have pictures of any fancy cars but I have been around mechanics my whole life. I thought posting a problem I would like to have some help with from what I thought would be a good place to do it, but I guess I was wrong. I get only self assigned high class criticism. I have had better comments from a much better class of people. As to you comment on "Road Worthy", the tranny dropped the rpm of the engine while I can still travel at the , what you call an "Original Speed" or even a little faster. Drum brakes were used even up thru the times of the muscle cars so I have no problem with them being safe...but thanks roe acting like you care! Another thing...the "Emergency Brake", as you call it is really a Parking Brake. Its purpose is to hold the car in place during "Parking" when the engine compression is not enough. If this is the kind of responses I am going to get on this forum, I will probably will be looking for another source. I was raised "If you do not have anything good to say...keep your comments to yourself!"
  4. To make my 1938 Plymouth 2 door business coupe more road worthy, I replaced the 3 speed tranny with a T5 tranny. As y'all know, in doing this, I lost the parking brake. One option was to fabricate a pinion brake on the front of the diff but that does not seem to be an easy task. I was told by somebody that maybe I could find backing plated from a newer Plymouth ir Dodge that would have the parking brake mechanics and would bolt on just as the originals do. Anyone out there have any insight or other ideas? Thanks for any help. Tim
