Same for a factory electric option on a 59 Chevy truck
-
I'm using the trico classic ones.. Good chance they are the same as the Napa ones... Haven't had any problems

Honestly I've been through this with a different classic.. It's almost always best to do the buy back.. You get to keep the car and get a decent check to do what you please with.. The downside is you may or may not get a salvage title.. In the state I was living in at the time because it was an older car they didn't touch the title but I don't know the rules in Washington
-
You'll be handed three options.. Total it out.. They take car and give you a check.. Total it out and buy it back you keep car and get a slightly smaller check and may or may not get a salvage title or option three you decline everything and keep the car and clean title but get nothing...

Been a few years since I've had it off.. Try to not take it off due to age.. My spring is also broke but something is not catching right the what I'll call star wheel that makes contact with the striker will just free spin then you'll hear a click and it locks in place.. Plus that star wheel seems pretty worn.. Only does it if I'm opening from the outside.. If I open from the inside it's fine or if it's misbehaving and I give the inside handle a work out then it clicks and behaves

Oh I'm not a fan of the pressure switches they require to much pressure.. Yes that's the kit.. Went that route cause the original set up really isn't designed for front disk and my power booster has seen better days anyways...I did find a pressure switch online "designed for disc brakes" they claim it requires half the pressure 45 vs 90
-
Hoping I can still use this set up when I do the master conversion.. Might have to go back to a pressure switch depending on pedal geometry.. We'll see

I need the part that goes into the door and besides the random now one popping up on eBay no one has it

Anyone know if a 56 Chevy driver front latch will work on a 56 Buick special front driver door?? My latch is acting up and worn out..
-

Probably not the most important thing at this point but did you ever figure out the shuddering you were feeling?? Glad you're ok and the car is mostly ok

Totally different pump but about five years ago I got a pump from flying Dutchman for my 56 Buick..literally daily drive the car no problems in five years

Oh! Forgot to ask.. Does that box bolt right up to the steering rag joint or??? I don't understand why the kit comes with that u joint but then he shows pictures of it bolted to the factory rag joint

Ah gotcha I was just curious but yeah for the price he's charging and what you posted I'm in no rush to get it..I did finally order the master cylinder conversion off eBay.. Came in the mail yesterday.. Actually seems really nice but it'll be a month or so before I have vacation time to put it in

Hey beemon maybe I missed something but where did you get that steering kit from the only one I can find is on eBay and last I checked he won't sale the brackets by themselves... What box did you end up using?? The one on eBay uses a late 90s jeep box

Any updates??

I think it's the angle
-
You're right there's six.. Never heard of one with 6
-
The one with 5 vanes is for an ac car

Hadn't heard of that trick.. Then again I can't weld

As far as I know yes they are basically submerged in atf I don't think they go out very often that's probably why they're regularly on ebay nos lol
