  1. YOU CAN CHECK WITH BOBS IN CA OR CARS IN NJ BOTH HAVE BEEN AROUND AWILE
  2. Not sure of the laws in OK, but when I build my barn in New Jersey, the trusses had to be signed off by an engineer. Plus that had to be made by a certified company, could not build them myself. Be safe installing. Without a crane they can be a bear to install with out the right help.

  4. Glad it worked out for you. Roy does very nice work. Most of the top restoration places use his talents.
  5. I never saw that before. My 320 has the holes open. I would check with Doug Seybold the Buick expert in Ohio to see if he has any ideas.
  6. Bases on a few tell tale signs it is a 1929 or 1930 Dodge DA, the serial number will tell the year. The little design in the center front of the front fender, the shape of the radiator shell, and where the vents are located are some of the signs. If it were a real side mount car there be holes in the side cowl for the hardware. Also the rear rack appears original for DA Dodge.
  7. Good luck with the project. Keep us posted on the restoration. I love the 3 window body style.
  8. hi lawrence are the parts still available??

  12. HERE ARE PICS OF THE 3 MAIL PARTS TO THE DUAL CARB AIR CLEANER AND SILENCER.
  13. I did not mean to start any thing by giving the considered pre war post war deliniation for auto production.
  14. pre war in considered 1942 and before post war is 1946 and later. my 1942 limited is an 8 passenger sedan, no extra bells and whistles.
  15. FYI your post is under post war Buick not pre war Buick. But getting back to your question, I have this set up on my 1942 Buick Limited.
  16. Hi All, Need the windshield washer diagram for a 1942 Buick Limited. The system is from the factory not added on. I made a diagram when I removed it from the car, but the papers got wet and are now unreadable. I looked through the manuals I have but they do not show the washer diagram only the wipers. Thanks Jim
  17. just to throw my 2 cents in if it is a series 90 it is considered a classic by the ccca
  18. The jack on my 1942 Buick Limited is very similar to the 1941 that Grandpa has sent except i have a regular tire iron as opposed to the rod and multi head wrench. The actual jack is hooked on to the wheel rim, then after the car is raised the stand is slip under the car. After the car is secured the jack is removed.
  19. i always thought the control joints were done when the concrete is still wet, firm but still wet, not after it has already set up and hardened.
  20. Get touch with Roy Martin at 802 862 6374. He rebuilds water temp gauges which includes replacing the sensor bulb.
  21. Not sure what brands you looked at, but if they are for an original car, they will not work. You will need a company that specializes in hot rods. You will need for an alternator and voltage regulator and probably a turn key ignition switch. I did my original 52 Chevy but it has a generator and a push button starter.
  22. I used felt bought at Michaels (New Jersey) for my 1942 Buick.
  23. i would give steve babinsky in lebonon new jersey a call.
  24. be careful when using the chain to break the rust free in the tank. when i did it the chain got caught on the pick-up tube in the bottom of the tank. and when i try to free it broke the pick-up tube and had to have the tank opened up to repair the tube. while the tank was open had it cleaned.
