Make sure you know the width of the fabric before you estimate how much you will need. Depending on the weaving machinery that will be used the width could vary between 36" to 58".

Ele Chesney passed away in November 2023. She owned 32 cars at one time. including the 1954 Plymouth Belmont Concept car. Other cars include a 1928 Minverva Town Car ,a 1931 Peerless Limousine and a 1934 V12 Victoria Packard. She also owned a 30 piece Laliique Collection which she auctioned off a few years back. She was a very warm and gracious person and will be missed in the hobby.

David, do you mean 1923 Buick??? My 1933 Buick had regular rubber valve stems.

After seeing the picture of the generator, Rhode Island Wire has exactly what you need on the shelf. I find the wire is pretty flexible. I buy all my wiring needs from them. They also offer a braiding service. I have used them for braiding after I made up the harness. Good luck Jim

Be careful when putting back together. On my 1942 Buck the left and right side are different regarding the front end. Check the part numbers on the parts, like the spindle knucles, shocks, etc. Good luck.

This last generation of the big Lincoln Twelves was a completely different engine than the masterpiece fork and blade 65-degree 448 ci KB powerplant. Beginning with the 1933 KA which this car appears to be, it has offset cylinder blocks which allow plain rods, not fork and blade. For this year only, it was a 3" X 4.5": bore and stroke, 381.7 ci, 67-degree engine. For 1934, the bore increased to 3.125", 414 ci, powering both the nominally KA 136" wb and KB 145" wb chassis through the end of 1939 Model K production.
Thanks for the explanation. I was not sure if this was a fork and blade design. Based on this I have seen a partial rebuild on a fork and blade and it is very complicated.

Yes PA is not a very easy state to register out of state autos either daily driver or collectible. Be very careful. It maybe worth it to seek professional help before you get started.
Good luck.

And when you think you have enough pics........ take more. Do not take a thing off the car without taking a photo first. Can not stress enough the importance of pics and diagrams etc. You think you are going to remember how things go back together in a couple of years but you are not. Trust me I know and so does everyone else on the forum. Good luck.

Try Waldron's Exhaust. They sold me some a while back when I did the exhaust on the Buick. But I bought the whole system from them.

Most New Jersey collectors know the name John Shibles. He passed away over the weekend. John's cars ranged from a Duesenberg which he showed at Pebble Beach a few years back to a 1947 Ford Woody and everything in between. He will be missed.

I am sure you spoke to either Bob or Grace. Great people. I know them about 25 years.

You may try posting your question in the post war Buick section.

In 1932 model 90 was a 4 door sedan 7 pass model 91 was a 4 door club sedan 5 pass. I believe it was the same in 1931 1933 and 1934 beyond that I would have to go to the reference books, which are not handy at the moment.

Besides the width of the fabric also confirm which way the pattern runs. It is possible that the raised pattern can run in the length of the fabric or run from edge to edge. Just double check.
