  1. Ron-Dup. Looks like you have a different bolt pattern, so it will not work. 5x112 vs 5x127. Thanks for your help.
  2. RonDup - I'm still to new of a member to private message you, so I need to ask here. Would you be willing to sell it? If so, what's a good way to contact you?
  3. RonDup - Thanks. I'll do a little research to see if it will work. I think the Granada uses 14 and the Lincoln is 15.
  4. Looking for a space saver spare for a 1976 Lincoln Mark IV. I think it's the same part for a Ford Thunderbird. Any leads? Thanks
  5. I bought a 1931 Chevrolet Sports Coupe that was restored over 40 years ago. I've been advised to drop the pan and clean the sludge. When I was inspecting prior to starting the job. It looks like I do not have access to the back screws on the pan. Should I be able to drop the pan with the engine installed, or does the engine need to be removed? I'm pretty new and this and any other guidance on this job is appreciated. Thanks
  6. jvelde, Thanks a bunch. That sounds like the one I have. I'll see if I can move the turn signal housing down some on the steering column. Not sure if that's adjustable, but I'll look. That would move the contact plate closer to the column.
  7. Jvelde, Thanks for the reply. I have a 1940 Shop manual. It has a diagram, but it's not clear to me because it's hard to tell what each of the parts really look like. It's not an exploded diagram. There is an exploded diagram of the steering column but it's set up for a solid spoke wheel. The main item I have questions on is the Soft Rubber Separator. It looks much thicker in the diagram than what I have. I'm thinking someone may have tried using a substitute that was too thin. I'm not sure if a 39 is the same as 40, but it's probable close. If I could get an idea on what thickness and density the separator needs to be, I could probably make one. I did some trial and error on making one, but was unsuccessful. Maybe I just need to keep at it till I get it to work. But it would be helpful to know I'm on the right track.
  8. I have a 1940 Buick Century and could use some help on figuring out what's wrong with the horn.. It has a banjo style wheel with the horn ring. For some reason the contact ring plate doesn't make contact with the steering column when you press the horn ring. It didn't work when I bought the car and I'm thinking I'm missing some sort of spacer that would hold the contact plate closer to the steering column. Can someone tell me what all parts should be there? I have three pressed metal nuts, what looks to be an insulator on each threaded post. Then the contact plate with an 1/8 in thick foam circle ring in the center of the horn ring. There is nothing holding the contact plate off the horn ring and I'm thinking some sort of spacer is needed there. The contact plate doesn't move far enough to make contact when you press the horn ring. Electrically it's fine because I can hold the contact ring (without the horn ring) to make contact and blow the horn. It's just when everything is put together, it doesn't make contact. Any suggestions or a diagram would greatly appreciated. Thanks
