Hi everybody how do you get the oil pan off -my engine seized -251 6 want to check crank pistons etc- all bolts REMOVED from the bottom of the oil pan but how go u remove clutch housing? ThANK YOU

anyone know the metal gauge for floor panel in a 49 Chrysler royal and where can I get rocker panels?

metal shavings in cylinder----crap

pulled all plugs put in mystery oil still wont budge -pulled off oil filter would that do anything

no transmission work = car hasn't started in 30 years = turned over fine after marvel put in piston chamber

The 49 Chrysler was cranking fine -starter burned out (put 12 volt on a 6 volt battery burned starter) had it rebuilt no cranking just clunking -now starter out engine wont crank--tried all plugs out-turning harmonic balancer -wont budge was working fine before starter any ideas

thanks will try that rebuilder put a new gear on the throwout maybe not align?

I just had the starter rebuilt --engine was turning over great - now it wont -tried to turn with damper -won't budge -help!!!Engine is a 49 Chrysler 251 .

Thank u c48er you've helped a lot --however the solenoid clicks but the starter motor doesn't kick in If I jump 6 volts to the starter termainal -not the battery one the motor turns do u have wiring of the key ignition--my wires arer all frayed and missing thanks again

I had a 55 tbird get a petronix igniter about 80 dollars It saved my life the resistor was always burning out and stopping it from starting no problems after putting in the igniter good luck I have wiring diagrams if u need

I m looking to find out where the starter relay wire is locater on a 49 Chrysler royal It goes to the starter terminal next to the battery terminal on the starter my solenoid clicks starter motor won t turn unless I jump a 6 volt supply to it thanks

does the 6 volt relay come from the battery side of the resistor plate(bat sol ign )
