  2. Thanks. I think we're set on a coupe. Or convertible. If one comes up.
  3. Hello. I'm searching for an adapter for my 1949 Plymouth. So I can install an Automatic Transmission with my original 6cyl engine. Thanks
  4. Thanks all. In still searching. If open body works I'd be interested in a whole body. Or a parts car if anyone has.
  5. Wanted to buy 1931 Buick. Prefer convertible. Message me if you have something. Seeing what's available. Thanks
  6. Hi. I'm not very familiar with these year Chevys. Need some assistance. We have a 25 coupe. Someone chopped the roof off along with top of doors and half of window frame. Making a roadster. It's a Poor job. So now I'm searching for parts or parts car. Or can anyone tell me. Will an open top Convertible window frame fit my cowl if I were to just remove the rest of the hardtop window Frame to make a cleaner look and keep an open top chopped roadster?? What all years Doors and Roof will work on our 1925? Any info is appreciated.
  7. Still searching for a tank. If you have one or any leads please let me know. Need sending unit too.
  8. Thanks that was my thought originally. But with some of the posts, I then wondered if due to it being so close to the exhaust manifold if it did get more hot and could cause issue. Im not making a point car. But to me esthetics is important. I just think it would look better engine color than same as exh.manifold. In still trying to leave the Intent of factory look when people look in my engine bay.
  9. Well the engine paint is good for around 500 F where header is 1200F. So would the Packard intake manifold reach more than 500 to burn the paint off? I've painted small and large block chevy V8 engines and the engine paint held up on the manifolds. Sometimes it would darken in color from heat but not fall off.
  10. Thanks for note on Intake I didn't think it would get as hot as the Exhaust manifold. So I will paint both the same with a silver header paint. Dad and I first have to get the engine running so I'm painting parts while I assemble then we will go back after and degrease entire engine to paint it as a whole
  11. Was the Intake Manifold painted engine color? Or same as exhaust manifold. Or was exhaust simply raw cast when new. Thanks all. This info is helpful. My goal was to match a close auto store spray off the shelf. I believe I can. There is a few grays and some state Ford but one seems close to JD in KC engine color. I will move forward with that and see.
  12. Thanks everyone. I guess gray it is. Good thought on the sprayer, will think about that, but may check if an off the shelf engine gray is available pending close match to the original gray? I'm looking online for engine pictures showing the shade of gray now.
  13. TThanks it's easier for me to prep and use a spray can to paint the engine. Are you saying the original engines were brush painted? I'm confused. I had not seen gray anywhere. I have a 327 and want to get close to original so important to understand if I'm painting Gray or Green. But I'm not making a point car just a nice local car show cruiser.
  14. Hi. What is the correct colors and shades to paint the engine bay? kanter sells green but not in a spray can. Anyone know where I can get spray cans? what color is the green and is it gloss? how about the black: fan, generator, radiator, etc. is it gloss or flat or satin? and Packard intake and exhaust manifold color? im ready to start cleaning and painting a few items thanks
  15. Prefer Ohio. Open to what's out there for now. Please message me
  16. Looking to buy a 1948 buick convertible. Possible or a 1947 model. Prefer a nice restored driver to take on cruises and attend local car shows. May also be interested in a solid good running car that could use some body work and paint. Please message me if you have one
  17. My dash has the foglight button also but bumper not drilled for the lights. I have not looked under if a switch guts are present or not. I don't have a spotlight but I see small holes in the stainless trim on both sides for mirrors. I am missing the mirrors.
  18. Thanks. I have an okay shell just need radiator. I believe mine is a Superior K ?? It is a 2 door coupe car.
  19. How does each type open? Mine is a pull out at bottom of glovebox. To open it.
  20. Thanks. My grill shell seems same shape on outside but inside is different. Still may be possible radiator would work. Can you send pics of radiator only both sides and some measurements
