  1. Bob, my compartment light does not work but the bulb is good. Can’t seem to locate the location of the light switch. On wiring diagram it appears to be at the back of the compartment. Any photos of switch location would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Check distributor cap and rotor for poor or corroded connections. Timing may also be an issue. Is there spark at the plugs?
  3. If you paid $2500. for a new headlight assembly, you got taken. Probably the whole car wasn’t worth much more than that.
  4. Speaking of self-adjusting steering, it would be nice if they would come up with self-adjusting wheel alignment too!
  5. This housing is now $92.99 from AutoZone.
  6. There was a stereo demonstration cassette tape that came with the Infinity radio.
  7. I agree with Hemi, the initial effort to open the trunk lid is heavy and there is no handle to pull up, only the narrow chrome moulding surrounding the full width reflector. I really don’t see how replacing the struts would help.
  8. Looks to be a very nice care, well maintained. Obviously, to seller doesn’t know much about the TC, calling it a Town and Country. Also, he or she doesn’t know the car has a manual top, saying the top doesn’t work. I can just see them trying to lower the top, pushing all the switches for the tonneau cover or seat adjustments, and getting nowhere! Too bad there are no photos of the engine compartment or trunk interior.
  9. It’s interesting to note that the mileage figure for highway is 24. The combined would be about 21. On my ‘90 V-6 I would say the combined is closer to 28. I can usually go about 300 miles on a little over 10 gallons of regular. Does anyone have comparable mileage numbers to report?
  10. If the outside turn signal flashes slower than normal it usually is the turn signal flashing unit that’s defective. If the hazard warning flashers are normal, then it’s definitely the turn signal flashing unit. The hazard flasher is mounted on fuse block. The turn signal flasher is mounted on left side of center, under dash.
  11. Usually this condition can be attributed to a poor chassis ground connection. The unit is grounded through a screw at the assembly mounting points (2) which are accessible inside to tonneau cover. Anyone else correct me if this is wrong. It’s been years since I did this to my own car.
  12. The HVAC air supply comes through the plastic grille that is just in front of the windshield. In your photo it is interrupted somewhat by the windshield washer fluid filler cap.
  13. I use Castrol Magnetec 10W-30 engine oil in my '90 TC V6 and it seems to function well. Castrol Magnetec oil is supposed to have the ability to cling to all surfaces and prevent "dry" starts, which they claim is when 75% of all wear occurs. No engine is going to last forever but this may help to prevent unnecessary wear.
  14. Just as an aside to the problem of small gage wires, as mentioned. Wouldn't the use of LED headlight bulbs instead of the normal halogen bulbs, reduce the wattage significantly and hence limit current draw to the point that a small gage wire would be adequate, without the attendant overheating? Perhaps this would be a simple solution that would undoubtedly be less costly than installing relays. Plus, the LED bulb would certainly outlast the life of the car!
  15. Thanks for your response Turbo Kane. If anyone reading this has what I am looking for please reply to my email address or to this site.
  16. Hi Turbo Kane, I'm looking for the driver's side ginger colored plastic seat belt cover that attaches to the seat on the left side near the floor. It must be in good condition, no cracks and complete. Let me know if you have this item and cost including shipping to Williamsport, PA. 17701. I can pay with PayPal. Email me at: rmtroutman@ gmail.com or respond on this site. Thanks.
  17. Yes, I agree with Hemi, a 50/50 mix of a quality brand extended life anti-freeze and distilled water will be all you need. Make sure you buy straight anti-freeze and not the prediluted type that you don't add water to. They are about the same price and a gallon of straight anti-freeze and a gallon of distilled water is a lot less expensive that two gallons of the prediluted antifreeze. Think about it.
  18. Checkout Rockauto.com. They have remanufactured rear calipers at reasonable prices for the TC plus some rebuild kits.
  19. Hi, I have an original radio-cassette player from a 1990 Chrysler TC Maserati. See attached photos. I replaced this unit with a new unit and have it as a spare. It worked perfectly, prior to being replaced. I will sell the unit pictured for $60.00., shipping included. If you are interested let me know at : rmtroutman@gmail.com. Thanks.
