  1. A friend in Europe desperately needs an owners/shop manual for his 1921 Series K DH with 364 cu 4 cylinder engine, 2 spark plugs per cylinder, 16 valves, Stutz gearbox, chasis 10520, engine K10536. He believes the manual for the 1922 series K DL is the same. A photocopy of the manual will be totally acceptable.
  2. Thank you for that, will keep you posted on the other.
  3. I believe that rand actually stands for rachel and david. I received the email back as coming from Rachel Shelley but it was signed by David. Yes, people are that stupid. I once had my Amex stolen and it was used to purchase catalog items shipped to their home. Needless to say, they were nabbed !
  4. The forum name was drdr. Will keep you posted on the other one. Thanks for taking action so quickly, I was rather saddened that these kind of people go this far with their cons.
  5. I posted that I am looking for a 1937-39 Hudson Transmission. I received a reply on the forum asking me to email the person. I was then offered a complete transmission in good condition for $ 850 incl. shipment by FedEx or UPS, money to be sent by Western Union. As I did not quite see a transmission in a fedex envellope, I asked how many speeds it had and received the reply it was a five speed. Obviously the wrong answer. The email address used by this bogus person is randdshelley938@gmail.com I have since received another request to email which sounds equally suspicious. I will post that address as well if it is also a bogus seller. Sad that a forum like this is surfed by con artists looking to make a quik buck.

  7. Thanks very much, will try. I will ask my man in The Netherlands who is taking the gearbox apart for part numbers. The first time it happened, as no oil was put in the transmission after taking the clutch off. It still drove for a good 500 miles, but then a bearing broke which screwed up second gear. The second time I fear it may have been from a pre 1936 gearbox, which does not work I believe.
  8. Thanks, followed your advice and posted it on the Hudson thread, I am new here. I am a member f HET but have had no luck so far. It is for my Railton which is at present in The Netherlands, I use it to rally in Europe, but have lost second gear in the Alps, unfortunately fir the second time, and it is very hard to find the parts over there. I will therefore have to absorb the shipping.
  9. I am looking for a 1937 - 1939 3 speed transmission in good condition for the 8 cylinder Hudson. Anywhere in the USA or Europe, it is for my Railton which is at present in The Netherlands. I would also have an interest in transmission parts, especially gears, in good condition. My second gear has lost several teeth. Lastly I would be interested in four 1936 five lug wire wheels.
  10. Looking to buy a gearbox in good condition, whole or in parts, for 1937 to 39 Hudson 8 cylinder USA or Europe is of interest.
