  1. I just looked at some pictures of the Jag that you mentioned, and the wheels have 60 spokes. I think we're getting somewhere.
  2. I need help identifying the these wheels that I have pulled from an old shed. Year? Car? Brand? anything. The link below will take you to the photos of the wheels. Antique Unknown Spoked Wheels Photos by mbash013 | Photobucket I came across 4 wheels. All 4 are the same rim, but there are two sets of different tires. Two of the tires are Gulf. They are 4 ply, 5.25-5.50-18, Traffic edition, and made in the USA. The other two tires are Firestone. They are 4 ply, 5.25-5.50-18, Deluxe edition, and made in England. They also have inner tubes in these tires. These wheels are spoked wheels, and I believe they are knock off Wheels since there are no lug holes. They have 60 spokes, and the hubs have 88 splines. The rim measures 19 inches in diameter. The front of the hub diameter is 3 3/8 inches. The rear hub diameter is 7 1/2 inches. The width of the hub measures between 4 3/4 and 5 inches. The length of the splines inside the hub measure 1 1/2 inches. There seems to be two layers of paint on these wheels, one layer red, the other black. this is all that I have acquired and now I hope that you can tell me what these are.
  3. This is a nice chart, but none of these specifications match the wheels I have. Still lost:confused:
  4. So with your guys' information I did a little looking around. I have a feeling that the Firestone tires are the original ones. The MG is an English built car and the Firestones were made in England. I found this page and the guy states it has 19 inch wheels and the tread pattern on his MG is the same as the Firestone tires. Another Classic British Marque - HRG - Dieselpunks Now does this mean that its defiantly from an MG, or could it be that the Firestone Deluxe was a popular tire? And if I take off the tire, what will I find on the inner rim? I do want to say that all the MGs that I looked at have 48 spokes, not 60.
