  13. I am in need of a pair of rear fenders for a 1930 Desoto CK 4 door sedan. The rear fenders were the easyist to change the shape of. Ultimately the 4 door sedan is different than a coupe or roadster. The fenders for a 28 or 29 K are also different. The only other fender that may work would be a 1931 SA. I used an SA front fender to replace the damaged CK fender. If any one thinks they have a fender or fenders that may work I can explain the dimensions. Thanks

  16. Gentilemen It is true that this wrench will work and I would be happy to buy it if there is one to sell. The car I have is 1930 CK of which they only made 12,000. I call it a transition car. The car is a wooden spoke wheel car. The wrench they made had both the spanner end and the hex end. I agree for the sake of cost W.P. made multipupose tools and parts. Keiser31 if you find that wrench let me know. In a previous post I asked if any one kwew the sizes of a No 1, No 2, and No 5 wrench Thanks
  17. keiser31 The wrench in the pic has the spanner end which is ok. However the other end needs to be an openend wrench. The reason is that the nut is on the backside of the cap and so are the spanner holes. I think the dodge had the hex nut shape on the face of the cap. I will measure the hex size and the spanner distance and get back to you. Thanks let me know tj 1107
  18. I have a 1930 Desoto ck with wooden skoke wheels. The hub caps are stamped aluminun with an interior thread. They screw onto the outer end of the hub. Used to keep the dirt out of the wheel bearings. The back side of the cap has a hex nut and two indents for the spanner. The wrench it self is appx. 10" to 12" long of stamped metel about 5" wide 3/16ths. thick with an open end wrench on one end and 2 prong spanner on the other.

    1930 ck tool kit

ck owner Rick I have a some of the tools. Specificaly I would like to know what the sizes of a No 1, No 2, No 5 and valve tappet wrench. I have collected some old wrenches and if I had the sizes, maybe there the wright ones. I know what the hub nut wrench looks like, 10" long apprx with open end to fit the nut on the back of the screw on hub cap. The other end is a spanner to fit the two indents on the hub cap. Made of stamped steel. I have wooden spoke wheels and you need a wheel rin wrench. I made one works fine. My next project will be to make the brake line bleeder it needs to screw into the bleeder and was probally brass hex with a barb for the hose.

  21. I own a 1931 CK which had some of the same problems Then and Now was able to supply me with new cups and springs for the drag link and also the ball opposite the pitman arm I built up the ball on the pitman arm and machined it round. Regarding the shock links I did advertise and do make them. They are exactly as original ie: same width, thickness and pin size and can be made to the length you require. If you email your phone no. me at mattix@chorus.net I can call you with particulars.
