  1. I need a TRILIN tail lamp for a 1930 Springfield Rolls Phantom I Brewster Regent. These tail lamps were also used on late 1920's Lincoln Model L and 1930 Lincoln Model K. Peter Zobian

  3. I need a TRILIN taillamp. These were fitted to late 1920s, early 1930s Lincoln Model L and same dates Springfield Phantom I Rolls Royce.
  4. It is very interesting that Mr. Maddock could import a car from Argentina without a Title and registration. I would think those documents would be necessary to both let the car leave Argentina and also be allowed to enter the U.S.
  5. I have a good complete Stromberg OO2 two barrel up-draft carburetor. What cars used these?

  9. I'm still looking for info. Can any older members of AACA or CCCA Ohio and Florida Regions remember this car or the names I've mentioned? Please help.
  10. Can anyone tell me where I can obtain a TRILIN tail light? I know they were used on some Lincolns and Springfield Rolls-Royce.
  11. Hi, I am still looking for any information about my Rolls-Royce. I had hoped someone from the AACA or CCCA Ohio and Florida regions of either club would remember this car. It's pretty rare -- only about 4 or 5 still exist today. It runs and drives quite nicely.
  12. Hi Bill, Thanks for all your information. I've been in contact with Henry Hensley and Ned Numata right from when I bought S460MR and joined the RROC. And I was able to buy a proper American Springfield Phantom I Flying Lady from Rudy Rosales which I didn't have. I appreciate all the other names you've supplied. I am trying to trace the history of my car. It appears to be an original Brewster Regent, not a re-body on a closed car chassis, as some Regents are. The discs I need are the sidemount "hold down" discs with the RR emblem that fit in the hub of the spare wheels. Currently I'm using the earlier style dished discs with no emblems, as used on earlier Phantoms. Peter
  13. Hi, I am looking for the ownership history for my 1930 Springfield Rolls-Royce Phantom I Regent Convertible Coupe by Brewster, chassis number S460MR. According to the Rolls-Royce Owners Club, the original owner was John Brichetto in the San Francisco/Sacramento area. Brichetto died in 1934. The next ownership on record with the RROC is R.G. Selfridge of Oxford, OH from 1953 to 1961 (he was probably in the Air Force as the RROC also listed his address as China Lake, CA - a northern California Air Force base). The next owner is listed with the RROC as John E. Maxwell of Gainesville, FL from 1962 to 1970. Then S460MR was bought by Carter Farrar of Lakewood, CO who owned it for 25 years until his untimely death at age 60. His widow sold the cat to a collector on Long Island, NY and I purchased it in August, 2012 from Peter Kumar at Gullwing Motor Cars. S460MR is either a well maintained survivor or a 40+ year old amature restoration. I am trying to determine which and I am wondering if any members of AACA or CCCA remember this car or its owners, while it was in Ohio and Florida?
  14. Hi, I believe the Trilin taillights are proper for the Springfield Rolls-Royce Phantom I? Do you have one complete unit to sell?
  15. I want to buy a correct taillight for my 1930 Rolls-Royce Springfield Phantom I przobian@gmailcom
  16. I guess some people thought A.K. was a curmudgeon, but he really wasn't. He was a gifted pilot, mechanic, engineer, and restorer. I think the people who wanted something A.K. had didn't like it when he said "no". But that was his choice, after all he was the one who thought ahead and collected when few others were. I graduated from high school in 1956 and went away to college; my dad retired in 1965 and my parents sold the farm, so we sort of fell out of contact with the Millers. My dad passed away in 1996 at age 86 and my mom passed away in 2000 at age 90, but we always remembered our time in Vermont and Alex and Imogene Miller. I have been collecting cars for almost 60 years, and A.K. Miller had a lot to do with it.
  17. Hi, I need a correct taillight, correct trunk, and the proper spare tire discs. Can any one help?
  18. Here is a photo of my wheel. I still need another one so I can send one of them to be re-cast. HELP!
  19. Here are pics of my 1939 Zephyr Sedan. I just recently bought it from James Hetfield, the lead singer of Metallica. It's a pretty grey color with a deep blue dash and light blue upholstery. Seems to run cool with no smoke and good oil pressure. I'm a happy camper.
  20. One day, my mom and one of her friends were visiting Imogene in her parlor. With a twinkle in her eye she asked my mom and her friend (who was a buff tennis player and swimmer) to see if they could pick up a trunk that was on the floor in the corner. They could, but only barely. Imogene laughed and opened the trunk. It was filled to the brim with silver dollars, and it was a big trunk! A.K. did not like paper money, he preferred silver or gold
  21. Oops, bad dad! Here's a photo of the alloy XK120.
  22. I've been told that the engine in the 1964 Turbocharged Corvair Monza Spyder was the same cubic inch size and the same 180hp as the 1965 model, but that GM didn't advertise that as they did not want to steel the thunder of the new 1965 Corvair Corsa. Comments?
  23. In 1961 I bought a brand new Corvair Monza coupe. Tuxedo Black with red bucket seats and 4-speed. I LOVED that car and was always sorry I sold it. Ever since, I've entertained the thought to buy another one. Last month I was trolling eBay and saw a 1964 Corvair Monza Spyder coupe in Tuxedo Black with red bucket seats and 4-speed. I couldn't help myself -- I bought it! I haven't seen it yet. The seller was in Tennessee and we have a home in Virginia about 325 miles away from him, with an empty garage, so we had it delivered there, instead of our other home in California. I can hardly wait.
