  1. So while you're looking Sayessa, why don't you take a few photos of your project and post them here?

    1965 For Sale

I read the first 7 posts before looking at the photos of the 'abomination' and expected the worst......... I think that for that price you could make a few changes and have a nice looking Riv. As you can tell, I am not a 'purist' and appreciate a mildly modified ride (darksider). I can't say as I remember ever seeing a first gen. Riv with the bumbers removed (rolled pans?) or fender skirts . On a side note, there is an older car guy in town that just finished 'updating' a '66-'67 Riv. Not only did he paint it himself with a splotchy light metallic green paint job with no block sanding (spelled wavey) but he added rear fender skirts, some sort of beltline chrome side trim, appleton type spotlights, Corvette styled side exhaust with shields and Ansen type 'mag' wheels, some with whitewalls and some not, and a large chrome CB radio antenna on the rear bumper. Truly an 'abomination' IMHO. Steve
  3. It sounds as if the shoes could be grease contaminated/imbedded.
  4. Congrats on your new Riv from another new owner. Look forward to seeing some photos. Steve
  5. Saw your beautiful Riv at Goodguys Scottsdale last Nov. My friend and I are still talking about it (your car). You were parked on the other side of the yellow tape from our cars; his teal '34 Ford coupe and my red '56 big window. I took a few photos of it; the level of detail on your car is amazing.
  6. The PO included the muffler with the car; he had the system changed to R134 with the rebuilt compressor and said it didn't need it(?). You restoration looks absolutely first class. Steve
  7. We're on the same wave-length on the paint, Rob. I took these photos this morning; too much shadow on some, but...... Not sure on all the accessories but it does have A/C (works good) and tilt column. The PO gave me some parts for the arm rests, the original radio, the spare with a General Tire still on it and another wheel. Steve
  8. I am new to this forum and just had to let you guys know that I acquired the car of my yearning today. She's all original with 117K on the clock. A California car that got relocated to Arizona about 5 years ago. The paint is well worn and the interior needs work but drives like a dream with NO RUST and the body has one small ding on the right front fender. I checked all of the areas of concern (thanx to this site) before the purchase. Steve
  9. Very cool! Nice detailing. Steve
