  1. I have only seen one gear box that good , and that was after I put all new gears in it and than 300.000 miles later I sold the car , should have kept the gear box !!!!!.
  2. Behind each valve tappet is a hole to the crank case to allow splash oil into the valve chamber to lube each valve, the excess than returns via the two holes in the front of the chamber where the troughs are. bob
  3. It is for the ignition coil mounting on the series 126 motor , that is the 5 bearing unit with the distribuitor and water unit togeather at the front of motor

By the bell housing size it looks to be 1928 Stanard Six Dodge Brothers or a Victory Six DOdge brothers car transmition, one of the Senior Six models also used the same , I think it might be a 2251, you Senior guys will know better then me and msy be some Dodge Brothers trucks of the same time.   14. After some checking I think for sure that it is a DA transmission. master parts book numbers for us built box is 210044, so its in the DA part number region , and the pics in hand book look like a match . Bob
  15. I will have check with some of the ones that I have but its looks like a Dodge Brothers gear box from the series 1298 fast four, 130 victory sit, 140 standard six and 2251 senior six but top cover looks like a DA cover. will check some numbers . Bob
  16. Yes, a a 4 cylinder Graham Brother truck , may be 2 toner about 35 years ago that once ran the Toowoomba range from Gatton . I do not know if it was original or not , but I do know that I run out of fuel in the 1928 series 128 if one held the throttle open to wide to long. The range is about 2 miles long and rises about 2000 feet

  18. The nose cone is for the 6 cylinder cars and is longer than the 4 cylinder cars , the in sides are the same just the nose cone is shorter . Later to day will get two and show the difference between them. bob

I can not tell you what the car in front of panel is but the panel is a 1928 series 128 Dodge Brothers 4 cylinder . id clues , head light drums , hub caps , rear wheel brakes only, wheel size and 4 lugs , front doors and front clip budd all steel body ,spring lube hole in valance panel, front and rear mud grad shape and moldings , tail light just to name a few . bob
