  1. Any chance you have a decent dash pad for a 66/67? I also need a master window switch (custom interior). Regards
  2. I've repaired my wiring and changed out a lot of it due to age, and installed some relays which is hidden. But, the escutcheon, or ignition starter switch nut, is made of plastic, and the original is very weak and have some cracks. I've bought a new one from OPGI, but the it's backordered with no date. Can I use a nut from a Chevrolet or something instead? The same is for the light switch, I got a new escutcheon/nut from OPGI, but the original in plastic is much bigger. I do have to originals, but both are som worn that it won't hold the light switch anymore. Do anybody have a solution here? I mich be able to glue a part of the old one to the new one, but I would be happy for another solution. I Bought a new ignition switch from a Chevrolet Van in the 70s, that's because I still can get the wiring connector for it. My original was changed out with a new one from a Skylark about 15 years ago, but then I had to use cable shoes on it, I really want a real connector.
  3. Hi. Does anybody know of a center rear shelf for a 1967 Riviera? A previous owner has cut holes in mine to fit some speakers. The car originally came with the rear fan defroster, but it's not enough space for that know. I want to build it back to original, and I need a new center shelf. The color is green. Regards, Thorbjorn, Norway
  4. I'm 40 years old, and got a 1967, owned it since 2003.
  5. I just want to say that a got great help from a Steve at Oldbuickpart. He was really service minded, and fixed the order. He didn't know what went wrong, but for me it really doesn't matter. My parts are shipped, and I'm happy with CARS/Oldbuickparts. Kind regards, from Norway
  6. Hi. My ball joints are fine, but my dust boots are not. Is there any way of putting a new dust boot on the outside of the originale one? And where to buy? Kind regards from Norway.
  7. I've tried to email them several times. Still got no answer. I have bought some things from them several times, it did take some time to get it, but not 10 months... I don't know what to do now. I really need the parts, but if they can't get them, I'd like to know. Maybe get the money back. It's not a very large sum of money, around 1500$ I think, but still.
  8. Just wondering if CARS inc / Oldbuickparts is still going strong? I ordered som parts in january 2022, and the order status is "received". The order is paid. I'm not in a hurry, but I really need the parts. I live in Norway, so the parts that I've ordered is not easy to get here. Regards, Thorbjørn
  9. Hi. That would be really nice. Thank you!
  10. Ok. Thanks. So the original is Loop. Are there any quality differences? About the headrests. I've found a kit at OPGI, but it looks like black is the only color?
  11. Thank you all for the answers, it's really helpful. I have one more question: Carpets. What is the difference between "moldel loop" and "cut pile" ? What's original? A lot of shops are selling carpets, is there any preferred brand og shop?
  12. Thank you for the answers. Regarding the wiring, mostly it's ok, but there are som cracks som places. The wires are getting hard. I'll look into the body mounts, but I'll think oldbuickparts have some kit's. They are ok i assume?
  13. Thank you for answering. 3. I was think more of other GM cars, like Chevrolet Caprice etc. I don't know if it's possible. 4. The Rivieras brakes is fine, I've never had a problem with them. But, if you need 4-5 repeated hard braking in a short time, I think they fade. 6. Thanks, I will look at that. Do you know what kind of grease they used, or I should be using? 8. Dynomat, In Norway is kind of hard to get, but I can always buy it directly from the US. But, I thought the Dynamat was a kind of asphalt? Thanks again.
  14. Hi. Sorry for my bad english, but I'm a Norwegian. I've owned a 1967 Riviera since 2003. It was originally a California car, onw owner from the autum 1966 to 1997 when it was imported to Norway. 2 owners in Norway before me. It has nearly 190.000 miles on the odometer, the car is orignal, but got new paint in 1997 (original color) and new bumpers front and rear. The car has 6-way power seat, power window and antenna, cruise control, AC and rear defroster. I changed some gaskets and the timing cover and timing chain in 2015. But, I plan a rolling restauration of the car. First everything that have impact on the ride quality and quietness of the car. Frond and rear end, brakes, steering, driveshaft, engine (think it's ok, very quiet at least), Transmission was overhauled in 2004, rear end (leaking a bit from the pinion). Then the interior (it's quite good, but need to fix the dashpad), and then, at last the paint (which is actually good, BUT, i have rust under the vinyl roof). Maybe the rust is so bad that I have to take the exterior before I'll take the interior, I've to look into that. I want some advice: 1. How important are the body mounts? I want as good ride quality as possible (soft and floaty). 2. Is is possible to fit headrests in the front? (the car was delivered without this option) 3. If it's possible, what wil fit other than Riviera headrests? 3. Is it possible to mount original shoulder belts in the front? (I'm not sure if this even was an option before 1969?) 4. My car has the aluminium drums in the front, and they actually work pretty good. Is it woth the effort with discs? 5. Lights, I want the original Sealed beam look, But is there any option to get better lights? Relay maybe? 6. Is it a repair kit for the power seats? The motor is running, the switch is ok, but the seat is not moving. 7. Is it any repair kit for the wiring harness? 8. Sound insulation. I want it as quiet as possible, and the Riviera is not noisy, but I think It can get quieter. The old recipe with asphalt and thick carpets, does it still works, or is it anything new and better these days? Thanks for all answers, Regards
  15. Hi, I'm interested, do you have any pictures? Mine is ok, but it's worn in the oil pump housing and some corrosion around the water ports. Regards. Thorbjørn Norway
  16. Hi. I need a new timing cover to my Riviera. I see that summit sells one and I've heard about the TA. Which are the better of those? Are they made with the same quality, or is the TA much better?
  17. Do you know if a sway bar from a 67 Impala would fit my 67 Riviera?
  18. Ok. Thanks. Do you americans have any idea of where to buy some used one? East-coast may be the best place for me, the shipping costs are a bit high from the West coast I think.
  19. Ok. Thanks, do you know what other car that shared the front sway bar with the Riviera? And some places to buy a used one? Thanks!
  20. Sorry, I listed the wrong partnumber. The right one is 1371853, It seems that LeSabre, Wildcat, Electra and Riviera shared the stabilizer bar / sway bar ?
  21. I did this yesterday, but I haven't seen any receipt or any email?
  22. Hi, on my Riviera I've a very beefy front stabilizer bar. I want to get an original one. I got 3 different part numbers 397703 (size 0.781") 397706 (size 0.937") 397704 (size 0.875") I wonder if some of you know where to buy this? When searching the net the 397703 sometimes shows up as the stabilizer bar to the 64-74 Chevelle, other A-bodies, some F-bodies and so on. Could I use this one? It's the Dorman 927-175 who shows up at a 64-74 Chevelle at rockauto.com Thanks from Norway.
  23. Ok. I'll see what I can find here in Norway first, but how about the exhaust, do you guys have any mufflers?
  24. Thank you for answer. This is like a stock item? It will fit a stock 430? I'll live in Norway, do you have any idea of the shipping cost? I also have an adress in the US, 33311, how much for shipping at that location do you think? Kind regards from Norway.
