  1. If you read the fine print on the websites almost all the "ethanol" fighting additives they will tell you that their product will help prevent metal corrosion but not prevent degradation to older plastic/rubber parts in the fuel system.
  2. If there are no non-ethanol gas stations in your area try a small airport. They sell 100 LL (100 octane low lead). Just take gas cans. A little pricey at $6.00 per gallon but stock original Riv's love it.
  3. It looked sharp inside and out. I think they were asking $26,000 ish
  4. In the photo of it on the lift....is the rear lift point safe to lift it in that spot? It's not the frame, is it on the pinch weld?
  5. The beautiful arctic white 1964 Buick Riviera you see next to this post won the 'Most Original/Unrestored' award!
  6. And it looks like the numbers on the hood are '554'?
  7. Zoom in on your original pic and see if it's legible!....
  8. Are you sure that's not reversed? I thought the higher the octane the higher the ethanol content.

  15. I sent him a PM and asked if he had more pics and does it run? He said no more pics and does not run. I lost interest. But if someone in the area could check it out....

  17. Good points. I just looked at a base 65 Riv with a 425. Looks like the previous owner kept it outside 24/7. The paint on the trunk, roof and hood has peeled off but funny thing is no rust on the bare metal. However, lots of thick crusty surface rust on everything metal on the bottom of the car. The rear of the roof had the remnants of duct tape from one end to the other which was clearly used to hold plastic over the rear window. The window gasket was gone. Water seeped into every crevice. All the wood trim inside was warped. Good points was no holes like this car pictured. Motor in good shape and numbers matching. The biggest drawback was the $8,000 price he thinks he's going to get.
  18. The very first thing you should do is join the ROA! Well worth it!

  21. Just came across your post today after a search on 'Windshield Washer Motor' since mine just stopped working. When I hit the washer button on the dash the fluid no longer squirts out. How did you fix yours? Anything I should look for first or a checklist?

  23. Looks like you have a small radiator leak. Might want to add a can of Bar's Leaks Liquid Copper Block Seal Intake & Radiator Stop Leak before your journey and be sure to stock a couple gallons 50/50 coolant JIC. You might want to change out that rad cap too. Safe travels!
  24. Peak Green. Made for pre 95 cars. Add a bottle of NAPA Anti Corrosion and or a bottle of Red Line Water Wetter.
