  1. This one is a `35. Has the spot on the manifold for the switch.
  2. Not mine.. Ebay item https://www.ebay.com/itm/1935-1936-OLDSMOBILE-BUICK-GUIDE-RED-DOT-TAIL-LIGHT-LENSES-HOTROD-TAIL-LIGHTS/153838865566
  3. Bob hasn`t been on here for 3yr., his post was in 2014. Try his ph# or email.
  4. The "piano hinge" has a rod(removable), sounds like yours is rusted together(no pivot) and broke off from the top or side panel from trying to get it to"fold" at the piano hinge. Fix? May have to find a another hood.
  5. I think this lens/trim was used for several years of GM cars, some had off/on thru hole in trim, some controlled by remote switch. Your coupe switch is located on the passenger side just to the rear of door jamb.
  6. Look close, looks like the 2 is there, just not highlighted like the others.
  7. #3-"T" throttle pull cable. #5 is original "L" light switch. #7(?)not original has been added. Map light/gauges/clock/heater switches are usually mounted on bottom of dash between the steering column and the cowel vent knob(#6).

  9. Dave, I have a stick for a `36 Buick 40 series around here some place. I`ll find it and send you pictures. Do you need all the springs and things for installation? Tom
  10. Correct, on the wood, and pretty much nothing fits a `36 but a `36. Was also the first year without a hole in the roof. My `36 Buick Business Coupe, no shelf or back seat.
  11. I have several pairs and some singles of tail lights for `37-`38 Oldsmobile both 6 & 8cyl cars, sedans/coupes. All have been sandblasted and primed, ready for final prep and paint, re-wired, bad studs replaced. The 6cyl lights all have new lens/bezels. Pictures available.
  12. And what about those things on top?
  13. I would think they are the same. Here is one on ebay #291845490381, you could check with seller for measurements.
  14. I have one I posted on Jan 17 to ID, no replies. I have no idea what it is for, but looks similar in shape to yours, different detail. I only have the insert.
  15. I would check the shifting linkage for excessive wear/looseness first.
  16. I don`t think `36 has a horn ring, just a center button. Push down and twist to the left, button should pop right out.
  17. `36 and `37 Buick headlights are mounted on the radiator shell, posted item looks to be fender mounted.
  18. You`ll have to use front engine mount, flywheel/clutch/P-plate/bell housing, and intake/carb/exhaust from the `37.
  19. Are your timing marks(cam/crank)correct? Y-block marks are both at approx. the 3 o`clock position, 12 link pins between.
  20. I think it's automotive.
  21. Don`t forget to give us an update on the before/after MPG.
  22. Another way is to cut the shaft(hack saw)from each side to the center edge of the slug(active piece), remove end of shaft and slug then lock assembly can be pressed out. Be careful not to damage little nubbie on end of lock shaft. Cut off end will need to be welded back in place and re-bore/drill hole for slug.
  23. Here is the type of bolt and washer for my `41 2500 series, bolt is 7/16"-20x 1 5/8"(including head). The large hinge hole is for hood movement/adjustment.
