  1. I drove my ‘69 from Chicago to Lexington and then Chicago to Colorado Springs for the ROA meets with no problems, and my ‘65 to KC with only a busted fan belt and no ac. Florida to Gettysburg in the ‘96 was much easier. Ben, my ‘50 seems perfectly suited for the back roads of southern Wisconsin
  2. Nope, never seen this one. Only been lusting after ‘65s since the ‘80s though. Thanks for sharing.
  3. I think I got this wheel from Parts Place many years ago. Only issue is the horn contact is off a bit
  4. In the meantime, there are regional ROA and BCA events in most parts of the country
  5. Ok, How about a quick meet and greet during the cocktail hour tonight near the beer keg...
  6. I think my 71 rides and handles better than my 69, which is better than my 65. At least for longer road trips, I think the newer ones are more comfortable. If you don’t mind the styling, the mid70s cars are often the most affordable as well.
  7. My other daily drivers seem to be having issues lately, so this one has gone from show car to driver status again. And of course it promptly rained.
  8. Looks nice. Not mine. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Buick-Riviera-dual-quad-set-up/254250638844?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  9. Yeah, I always like to study up when I get a new car
  10. Tom Mooney, did you buy another one? Our tech expert lives just a couple of hours north of Paxton
  11. Has anyone checked out this one from the latest Riview? Seems like a really good deal if it’s real.
  12. Finally getting to enjoy my first boat tail. Drives and handles great. All mechanical systems are now in good working order, except for the radiator which needs more cleaning. Too much Stop Leak over the years, I guess. New tires and center caps too.
  13. Yes, that is correct but it may take several days
  14. It could look something like this...
  15. Hey! All 3 started right up and ran just fine. And I just discovered that my Max Trac still works. Anyone else have a working Max Trac in their boat tail?
  16. I’m visiting the northern Rivs this week. So far, the boat tail started right up and sounded pretty good. I’ll try another one tomorrow
  17. I believe 69 and 70 are the same fuel pump (in the bottom of the tank). There supposedly is an 80s ford truck fuel pump that works well as a replacement and is easily obtained. Check Yardley’s website for more info: 1badriv.com. He is also on V8buick.com and the ROA Facebook group.
  18. This is a similar effect using Color Effects on an iPhone. One starts with a gray tone version of a color photo and hand colors the desired portion (the car) back to its original (or a different) color. I think it was a free app.
