  1. It would look sorta like this
  2. You can see the stock Buick engine green on mine. Got it from CARS. Just check out my gallery. Also I think Claret Mist is dark maroon in '64 Riviera speak. A very nice choice.
  3. Right. And the rocker panel screw heads need a dab of black paint. Is that a '64 mirror on the passenger side? '64 replacement motor, too. Still, very nice.
  4. Exactly. That's what I do. Realize, though, most of them are into Skylarks, GS in particular, so you sometimes need to specify Riviera when necessary. It's a great resource and is very active - hundreds of new posts every day from Buick-lovers all over the world. P.S. I have many TA parts on my '69 including headers and complete exhaust. 2.5 inch pipes are quite loud enough and the quality is outstanding. Can't use the crossover pipe - the X-frame is in the way
  5. Also check out TA Performance. It's listed under vendors on V8buick.com
  6. Carl offered to sell me this car at every annual meet since Branson so I know it well. I'm glad he got a good price. He did a very nice job with it and extra metallic is one of the benefits, I suppose, of having your own paint and body shop. The interior was also excellent and we particularly enjoyed listening to his radio with the factory reverb. Some may notice he recently switched back to the correct wire wheel covers - the chrome road wheels are now on his '66 Wildcat convertible.
  7. After 3 years of work, she's finally coming together
  8. There is a very nice '69 left side tail light bezel on eBay and of course I need a right side one. What is it about the right side - do they deteriorate faster than the left?
  9. I need one, so put me on the list, too, if you would please
  10. Hi Jeff, watch out for too much back space (stock is 3 and 3/8) and also the size of the center hole being too small (the hub is 3 and 5/8 I think). If you search this forum, you will find some previous discussion on these fitment issues. Your wheel has positive offset plus too much backspace, doesn't specify the center bore either. Spacers might help. I've also been working on a 17 inch wheel solution but so far it requires a bit too much calculating for my taste. Good luck hunting!
  11. TA Performance makes great shorty headers for 2nd generation Rivs. They are based on the original Kenne Bell design. Their exhaust systems are also very nice.trim.3373D499-20DA-431E-BEC2-112D596F646B.MOV
  12. Interested in the door switches/ rubbers, rear speaker and maybe the chrome wheel to 61114.
  13. I have a handy little app on my iPhone called TREMEC. It calculates tire height, rpm, speed, etc. I've noticed that the published charts of the tire companies contain numerous errors and discrepancies for tire dimensions. Rather disconcerting.
  14. The guy at Circle Racing said he could make me 5x5 wheels but it's basically a modified Magnum wheel design. Not cheap either. Here's the look I'm striving for:
  15. I originally intended to put them on my black '65 but they look good on the '69 too. It would be great if I can find a tire size that works well on both. I was thinking maybe 255/50r17 plus 275/50r17 but that is wider than is ideal for the '65 and 225/50r17 plus 255/50r17 is too short. Harder to find good performance tires in 55s or 60s. I'm open to suggestions.
  16. Great suggestions guys, thanks. I like mods that are easy to reverse. Ok, so I don't have Photoshop or even a computer any more (I run a paperless office using only iPad, iPhone, and iCloud). This is a feeble attempt at finger painting but here it is. How do you like it?
  17. So, guess what I just got... Should I black them out to resemble the Buick rims? How about tires? anybody running Nitto NT 450's?
  18. Is there really no source for a booster without having to buy a master cylinder too?
  19. So, drive on over to St. Charles for the ROA meet. I drove mine 1,000 miles out to Colorado last year about this time. The more I drive her, the better she runs. By the way, I think Nebraska has the best highways in the Midwest.
  20. I'll probably be up for it since its on my way home. Thanks
