what is the best thermosat to run on a 39 ? 180 or 160 , my dash temp gauge is showing 3/4 hot when i'am driving the car

just finished my 39, wife asked what kind of gas should we put in jt? engine was running when I bought the car, don't know anything about engine, motor runs just fine, no smoke

ok ill work on those this weekend, wright now the wind is blowing 50mph outside, also dust in the mix, state police closed down the roads

Put in clean plugs car ran great, next day started car and got black smoke from tailpipe, pulled a plug and it was black, Sherwood

my carb on my 39 is running to rich after carb rebuilt, im at 6000 ft , what can i do to lean it out. thanhs sherwood

can enyone tell me if their is a braket that holds the cable housing ? i just i stalled a new cable , when i pull the handle it moves the housing cable back into the firewall hole, the inner cable is is tight all the way back to the rear brakes! sherwood

ok i put a ground wire on fuel line then drilled frame and scerwed other end of wire to frame, i have stainless gas line from tank to fuel pump. still have same problem, when power is on gas guage goes to full. when turned off guage goes back to emty sherwood

can anyone tell me if the gas tank has a ground wire? if so where is it at. i put a new gas gauge in and the gauge goes to full, i know thats worng because i only put 4 gal. in the tank, also it has a new fuel sending unit installed in the gas tank sherwood
