  1. Malcom Barry of Ohio has a source for reproduction 37 speedo faces. There are two different colors, one is silver and the other is chocolate depending on the rest of the gauges, have seen them both ways. They are made of a modern plastic and are a perfect fit. The price if I remember correctly was very reasonably. The one in Gary's photo from the Glidden tour is the original one to the car. The larger trucks that used the 37 dictator dash up until I believe 39 used the 0-80 faces. My K15M has a 0-80 speedometer. Jerry Kurtz
  2. Gary I have changed to modern seals on several rebuilds, however have also used felt seals successfully. By drilling a 3\16 hole in bottom of the seal flange it allows the oil to drain back into the pan. Jerry Kurtz
  3. Gary, Actually, you don't the shoulder. I would thread the ID to use a bolt to push the gear off. Wish I were computer savvy enough to post pictures, but I am a computer dinosaur. Jerry Kurtz
  4. Gary It takes a special puller to remove the cam gear that I have. I can send it to you. Jerry Kurtz
  5. I'm very familiar with the tie rod end you are asking about and I believe they might have only been used on the 36-37 planar cars. Loosen the tie rod clamp and turn out the 1 3\8 nut, you will then find two heavy, die type, springs. I have on occasion found these springs to be broken. I have extra springs if needed. Jerry Kurtz
  6. I Have installed several over the years and did so by apply a very liberal amount of non pumice hand cleaner and sliding them over the lower end, never had to cut one. Jerry Kurtz
  7. RU22, On my COE I used 5\8 round hollow tubing that has a tab that fits into the window frame. I believe it was purchased from Restoration Specialties in Windber Pa. Jerry Kurtz
  8. Gary, If you are are not going to use that transmission I would really like to buy it back. I am sure I have a used vacuum advance. The 37 dictator trans is completely different from the president and will not interchange. Jerry Kurtz
  9. Ken When I see you on the Glidden tour I will show you how to wire the overdrive. Jerry Kurtz
  10. Ken, Greetings from York PA. Finished repairing your trunk handle this afternoon and it should be stronger then new, which is not saying much as the original design was rather poor. I even repaired the lock and it should work as new. Am leaving for AACA sentimental tour on Sat. AM and will try to ship if I have time. See you on Glidden tour. Jerry Kurtz
  11. Where are you located and what are you looking for. I have many parts for 37s, however the best way to locate parts is through networking. There are several people who have parts for these cars but you generally don't kind much at car shows Jerry Kurtz
  12. Gary I needed one also and found one at Carlisle that was for an Oldsmobile. I have several that are in unknown condition, they didn't work. Can bring one to Dover. Jerry Kurtz
  13. Jeffery, If you are looking for an overdrive for 39 I have a rebuild in stock. Jerry Kurtz
  14. Brad, I am told an OD from a 60's Volvo is easily adapted to early stude's. Jerry Kurtz
  15. David, Went through my inventory of covers and wasn't able to find one to match photo even though there is one marked 33. Jerry Kurtz
