  1. I can't figure out how to edit this posting. I wanted to reduce the price to $19K or best reasonable offer.
  2. The colors are original, but it has been repainted during the restoration process. This car has been sold now.

  4. I have my 1939 Buick Special Model 41 4-Dr. Touring Sedan For Sale here in San Diego, CA 92117. It is in "barn find" condition. It is in fairly good original condition. It is in good running condition and drives well. It has new oversized Whitewall tires with new tubes on it. I'm looking for the best offer that I can get. Contact Jim at jampard@dslextreme.com or 858-886-9777.
  5. We need some of the rear end parts for our 1929 Durant Model 60. The pinion and/or ring gear have been stripped. I think the parts are interchangeable with those in a Star Car and a Dodge Bros. model. We're in San Diego, CA. Jim
  6. My friend and associate Lance Haynes said to ask you for recommended auto transport companies that can transport a restored antique car I just bought from Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada to San Diego, CA. I've looked at reviews of several companies, but they all seemed to be mixed reviews so I don't see how I can trust them. I'm looking at a company named U.S. Canada Auto Transport ($2795) and one named Ship my Vehicle ($2231) and one named DAS Global Services ($2276). Can anyone recommend any trustworthy auto transport company (or broker) for this job? I want an enclosed trailer all the way with door to door service. The car is a restored 1930 Durant Model 407 4-Dr. Sedan. Thanks for any help with this. I"ve done other transport jobs in the U.S. previously, and they're always very frustrating.
  7. Hi misha :-) I' mainly interested in at least one good outside door handle for our '38 Packard 1600. I might also be interested in the other handles if the prices are reasonable. Please send me pics of the handles. Thanks, Jim
  8. Hi Dave :- Thanks for the good info. I only have a parts book for the '38 Six. We wouldn't mind drilling out the bolt holes. Can I assume that you used the matching pinion gear? I'm wondering if a complete 3rd member would fit from an Eight or Super Eight would fit in our Six rear end housing using our axles and U-Joint. To be safe, we probably should just try to use parts from a '37 to '39. Jim
  9. Packard Ring & Pinion Interchangeability We want to change the ring & pinion gears in our '38 Packard Six model 1600 4-Dr. Touring Sedan. The ration is 4.54:1. We've seen ring & pinion sets and 3rd members listed for car years older & newer than ours. We would like to find out, if possible, which years & models are interchangeable with ours. One source says that '37 - '39 Six's are the same, and '37 - '39 Eight's are the same. I guess this means that the Six & Eight are not interchangeable. That's going to make it harder to identify the correct ring & pinion and/or complete 3rd member. Can anyone tell us where we can find out more information? Thanks.

  11. Hi :-) I am looking to buy two (2) new Lester 825 x 16 Whitewall bias ply tires. I guess that nearly new tires would be okay also. Thanks.

  13. I need a pair of good condition Headlight Housings (Buckets) for our 1938 Packard Six Model 1600. Unfortunately, our original ones were modified for sealed beams a long time ago, and they will not work anymore with the original headlight trim rings that we recently acquired. The housings from other '38 (or '39) models might work if they have the right kind of lip at the opening that will work with our restored trim rings.
  14. Hi Evan :-) I was just wondering if you still had the 1938 Packard Headlight Housings for sale? We're restoring a 1938 Packard Six Model 1600, and someone messed up the headlight housings when they converted them to sealed beams. Ours doesn't have the lip around the front opening that the trim ring goes in. Please let me know if you still have them, and if so, how much you are willing to take for them now. Thanks, Jim jampard@dslextreme.com San Diego, CA
