I have a friend that is thinking about using this company for a car they own. I have been asked to inquire if anyone on this site as any experience with this company. The company is Hodge Mopar Restorations in South Carolina. Thanks.

1937 Dodge Truck TINY HOUSE Project - Pull The Trigger..?????
wyankee replied to Wowabunga's topic in General Discussion
I wonder if an agricultural or construction vehicle tire shop could fill the existing tires with foam? You then would never have to worry that they will go flat. I also have a 1955 large Dodge truck and was wondering if there is a company that could remove the wheel centers and mate them to a more common 19.5 inch wheel. -
The last weekend in October, my wife and I, along with 3 other couples, drove our Model A Fords to the mountains of North Carolina. We stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast, highlighted by the backdrop of amazing fall colors. Each day we drove the cars to small towns nearby and as far as Tennessee and Virginia. It seems everywhere we drove, people smiled and waved. As for the eight of us, we love driving the cars and seeing the sights, but without a doubt the best part of the trip is the friendship such an adventure brings. We eat together, laugh and pray together, share life events and most importantly, plan our next Model A trip. Ultimately, the joy comes from being with like-minded good friends!

I would invest in a set of better jackstands and get rid of the cinder blocks. I realize it's not a heavy car but there is not a lot of strength in that set-up.

Old car for a permanent daily driver
wyankee replied to StanleyRegister's topic in General Discussion
I know this is out of the norm, but when I lived in Florida I noticed quite a few Checkers being owned personally as daily drivers.Thinking outside the box, but they were known to last. -

Antifreeze Question....green, yellow, red, blue, pink?
wyankee replied to Graham Man's topic in General Discussion
Bloo I read that test you made a year or so ago and changed my model a to the Zerex, and found it to work much better than the green I was using. I recommend reading your test to anyone that asks me an antifreeze question. Thanks -

Go to the Model T Ford Club of America website, they will be able to help you. -
The way I read the question was that he only needed a 3/32nd ring, not a whole set, plus it might be good information for someone else reading this thread.

What are you working on right now?
wyankee replied to Jeff Perkins / Mn's topic in Our Cars & Restoration Projects
There is a guy in Canada that has a couple of Lombards, and he uses them to haul Cat Trains. kingofobsolete.ca He may be able to help also. -
I have used Terrill Machine, and their work is great. The owner loves Model T's, and drives them.

Thank for your recommendations - we have a shorter, wider belt on there and it seems to be running nice and true. See below! Thanks for all the help.

Thanks again for the reply's. When it was apart I trued up the mounting bracket on the surface grinder, and made a bushing for the shaft, so I know that is square to the front of the engine. I was going to crown the upper pulley, but there just isn't enough material to do that. The owner of the car doesn't want to remove the lower pulley unless absolutely necessary. The next thing we're trying is a wider belt that will fit between upper pulley runners.
